Striker, if you want a band of text both top on bottom how about something like "Screamin' Eagle Riders" banded across the bottom and "C V O" banded across the top.

Can agree with you Laker on a minor bit of "cheese quotient" there.  Stuff like that wouldn't be my first choice either.  What about something that is both simple and direct and also doesn't carry the hubris quite as directly?  Maybe a simple "Screamin' Eagle Riders" ?

Maybe, like the jacket mods...we do an upper breast patch with "Harley C.V.O. Riders", and then maybe leave room for your individual state on the bottom to be stitched on individually.

How about something like the letters CVO written in some type of cool or artistic script about an inch or inch 1/2 big, then underneath in smaller script something like Enough Said (just an idea).  I wish I had the artistic touch or savy to make it but I don't so, just my 2 cents.  I like the eagles designs, but I would think that to get the embroidery set on that would be kinda expensive.  From past experience they really charge alot of $$ to get the design programed to the machine by the graphic designer.  So the initial cost would be high (unless someone has some connections and we get a break), and unless everybody agrees and comit on the design, then it would be more $$ for those people to get the ball rolling.    Let's Roll

fwiw- Lasy year we wanted to make some t-shirts for the Texas Harley riders. I volunteered to do the dirty work and one of the other members came up with the design. You have to be careful using the bar & shield logo, especially if you copy the HD one. We used the bar and shield, but had our own design in it. Several t-shirt places I spoke to wouldn't touch anything that might infringe on HD. Seems thier legal guys are out cruising looking for stuff to do. LOL  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Hey Guys,

I have an idea. What about coming up with a design and then having it laser etched onto a part on the bike like the gas tank lid or the inspection cover that is beside the derby cover ? This would identify members of the group as well as look good and you wouldn't have to worry about wearing it.

I have a friend who does the artwork and screen prints the shirts, etc for a living...   That would be an option for getting the artwork programmed for screen printing...  

I also vote for the shrot and sweet statement...  like "CVO" or better yet, "Thunder Chickens"! [smiley=shocked2.gif]

I for one would have a problem putting on a patch that represents a $36,000 investment, that isn't equally as professional looking.

Personally I have the HOG year bars and officer rockers on a vest and would rather have a patch that would have the same shape and design. Had a friend back at East Coast HD in Dumfries VA make some patches saying either Dumfries or Quantico. That chapter couldn't decide what their location was.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I was going to say maybe you should take yourself, and your "investment", a little less seriously.... IT'S A MOTORCYCLE!

Vest patches are typically humorous, funny.

Not to mention that the constipated eagle is going to be harder and more expensive to make.  I won't even mention how pompus it looks.  Wouldn't put it on my vest.  Sorry.
