Virus Alert??
« on: August 05, 2005, 11:38:19 PM »

Anyone experiencing problems when you step back to the FLHRSEI.ORG page?  My Norton Anti Virus has just started to scan everytime I go to it, and it takes about 10 min to shut it off.  Anyone else???

No Striker.  Nothing new here.  But I've got a different anti-viral  (Computer Associates stuff).

I have Norton 2005 and no problems.  I have my desktop link tied to the page where the boards are listed, but just backed out to the front page to see what happened, and everything appears as it should.

How did you get rid of it?  Norton doesn't even identify a virus is active.

It was a pain in the nutz. There were a few .exe files that kept the thing flying. I would ctrl alt delete to get to stop task and go to process to see what was running . stop the processs and even just viewing the txt files strted it all over again. I finally used windows explorer sorted all the files by date and deleted them form the date I started having the problem. I am on windows xp and have mcaffe virus protection . Mcaffee knew it was there but could not stop it.
