So, just 'cause they change the warranty verbiage they can give you chitty-looking . . . no, defective . . . finishes on their (premium) product and that's OK?

I don't think so!!! :soapbox:

I did they said warranty verbage has changed, pretty much BS.
They're just dragging it out, but somehow I'm pretty sure no matter what they do the patch will continue to flake off, just a funny feeling...

I just sent you an e-mail.

Good luck, Dan

Update on my peeling paint, MoCo or should I say MoFo's told dealer to touch up, I said it wasn't acceptable. Dealer called me and said rep told them to try new "procedure" for this repair. I called customer service they told me that I wouldn't get new csaes for a cosmetic problem, dealer said just keep rejecting if I'm not happy, they're trying but HD is not ready to give in yet,
I'd like to know who got new cases and how many "repairs" were done before they decided to replace cases, information much appreciated.
Rep also said that cosmetics weren't a warranty item, isn't the attempt at repair with MoCo covering cost for these repairs precedence?

I think you are correct.  If they weren't responsible, why did they try to repair it at all?  They have set a precedent.  They've admitted there's a problem that they feel obligated to take care of and now they need to take care of it properly.  If the repairs cannot be completed to make it as good or better than new, they need to explore an alternative route...replace the part.

Finally managed some pics...of the issues I'm having with my 08 SERK. I purchased RK Aug 08, and Just found out... regional rep. has denied warranty. He indicated  local atmosphere is the problem! Seems if local atmosphere was the probem...loss and chipping of powercoating would be on both sides of the cylinder & head fins???? Right side of heads and cylinder fins are not effected!!! Both sides of cases are effected, top of cam block is effected. I'm showing front wheel, but both are effected.... Spoke to Cost. Service today, and will get back to me....Any advice? Thanks in advance, Muddy

For some reason only 1 of 7 images showed up...any suggestions on how to edit and add the other 6 images? Muddy

You can only attach one picture at a time. To add the others just hit reply and attach one at a time until you have them all loaded. You will also have to put something in the text box (IE: a period "." or number each of the posts "1, 2, 3, etc").
