Dang Ken, that is another sweet looking CVO ride.  You gonna bring all three of them to CH Lodge in May?  I may need one of them to ride.  Ride one, trailer two, bring all three.  I ride, you :drink: Deal?

I joined this site 2 years ago. I had a bone stock B&O 07 SEUC. I was totally satisfied with it, as it was a CVO bike, and it came with everything it needed from the factory. There was plenty of chrome, air ride suspension, the biggest production engine HD ever built, and a kick ass sound system. I had money in the bank, a nice home, an early  retirement planned, and the MRS didn't have me on a budget plan.

During that 2 year period I've added a couple of small accessories
Zippers Thundermax with autotune (Its on the shelf)
Power commander
Race tuner
Zumo, mounts, cables, thumbscrews,
Bitubo rear shocks
Traxxion Front suspension
Saddlebag lighted spoilers
Lighted saddlebag latches
V&H True duals
D&D Fatcats 2:1
Jims 120 engine
Bigger throttle body
Tru-Track
cushy drive sprocket
several different windshields
VPC (Variable pressure clutch)
Chrome dome eagle horn cover
Various other chrome bits
HID hedlight
Quick detach TP
Hidden antennaes
Countless tires
Enough helmets to furnish a helmet to everyone on the football team (And I only ever wear the $10 bucket)

The bike is so fast now, I've figured out the brakes suck. So, I've got all new brakes coming. I've yet to get the bike tuned to suit me, but, I intend to get it right if it takes every dime I've got. I've not wasted a dime on frivilous items like the screaming eagle shift linkage, chrome inner primary, chrome starters,  LED lights, or Hawg Wired products, but, I plan to as soon as funding becomes available. My entire closet consists of HD t-shirts, leather jackets, and bibs. I needed to go to a funeral last week, but, I didn't think the diligaf shirt with the finger on the back would be appropriate, so I didn't go. It comes down to do I need these new brakes or a new suit? The brakes won. Don't even count the money in gas. Gasoline was $4 a gallon and it would cost $20 to fill it up. With the Jim's engine and a chitty tune, a tank would get me about 95 miles down the highway. I'd get there fast though!

Then there's the V-Rod. Then there's the Road Glide which I planned to keep bone stock. The list is longer on the RG since it came with less.

In that short 2 year period, I've pushed my early retirement back 7 years. (that was before I bought the road glide.) I'll probably die before I retire anyhow. Our annual insurance premium is twice as much as insurance on the house. The ironic part is the more you spend on these bikes, the less they are worth.

Would I do it all again? You damn straight I would.

Larry, one thing you can count on..it'll cost you some more money!  ;D

Brought tears to my eyes too. You are so right on the money.

I have to agree with Don, best all time post on this site!

Mark, I think I just realized one flaw in Ken's beautiful tome.  His list included getting the Power Commander.  I'm pretty sure he's actually bought five or six though....  ??? :huepfenlol2:

One pc or six pc. I am just glad I am not the only one who spends a
large portion of my income on my CVO habit. :2vrolijk_21: :huepfenlol2:

Your one Power Commander was a good one though.  I still smile when I think about the grin on your face after leaving John's place.

I love John's work.  It was better than I expected and will use him
again if I ever need any more tuning. Don, that was a great day!!!!

Again, congrats on a fantastic scoot Ken, what a great addition to the stable! I can't wait to see one up close and personal, 'cause your pictures make it look so friggin' good!

There's the old ugly bolt head that shows now. I'm thinking a CVO sticker right over the top of it. OR..Tail of the dragon sticker. OH..I need a license plate to put in the frame too. That would help.

That looks great!  I like that one!  Drilling involved?

When I had my banana, I tried BNANA, YELLER, YELLOW, YELLR, SCREMN, and ended up with BAGNIT, until my Dad gave me back SCREAM.
