How many of you have converted to trikes?

Only one of us that I know of.  Bet it had Illinois plates, huh?  I can't think of the guy's handle right now, but he's from the Chicago area and converted one about a year ago this time.  Also has V-Rod and Gold Wing trikes if I remember correctly.  Guess he'll be along sometime soon to let us know.

I am now calling around to find a FLHTCUCSE to make into my next trike.

I did see five menbers from the CVO list at Sturgis that made it to the DFT trailer

Dean, thanks for keeping us up to date on your corner of the world.  There was a period of time after my accident last year, that I thought I might have to be your next customer.  Fortunately, for me, as it turned out.....I am able to walk and ride again and we had a great time in Yosemite (see our photos).

I did find and buy a 06 FLHTCUCSE about one hour ago.

Dealer will have on 8-26 it is a Autumn Haze. I will need to get to New York to pick it up
but it is a list price deal so that is good

Around Chicago all I could get was $4-5,000 over list and did not know when they would have one........

I don't know if I will paint the trike with the stock paint or just strip it all and paint as a
custom and change the whole thing.......

If I repaint the complet bike I was thinking if I buy from H-D the tank, fender, faring, and side covers as unpainted parts, custom paint the whole thing, and than sell the complet stock paint set as is with the bags and rear fender.........

That is what we do, we can convert any Harley 1985 and up.

We are the mfg of the kit. We have 120 dealers that do the converstion.

Normal cost are $14,000 installed on your bike painted like the stock bike.

V-Rod is done as a custom not part of the above price.

SEEG needs to be a complet repaint, can't get the paint from Harley so the whole bike gets a repaint, add $2,000.00 for the repaint.

The bike in the photo was my bike , sold at Sturgis for $43,000.00 with 17,000 miles on it.

I am getting a 06 FLHTCUCSE on 8-29 from New York dealer and convert it but I think that I am not going to do the stock Harley paint this time. I will have it done as a custom
paint and have the color and panels of paint that I want.

Takes about 2-weeks to do a conversion .

Idea for you...   i just wasted the front fender on my SEEG, and ran into paint probs, and then I did some studyin'....   The paint on the SEEG's is a PPG proprietary paint...  Which means ALL PPG dealers have access to the paint and the paint codes. (It's NOT owned by the MoCo)  I found a hot rod painter who is a PPG dealer, and he was able to get the codes, and purchase the paint directly, and can mix from the codes... so I'll be getting a spare pint of each paint when he is done, and so far it looks like the paint is a dead on match from the test patches he shot...  
So, I guess what I'm saying is...  perhaps a partnership with a PPG dealer/painter would save you some heartache on the SEEG conversions...

Thanks for that. If it works we only have to paint the trike body and will not have to add to the cost of the kit.

Do you think PPG dealers would have the 06 paint yet?

Thanks, the next one is going to be a 06 USE and the paint is Haze, that is at the dealer now and I need to go get it and than convert.

I don't know if I am going to use the stock pant or strip the whole bike and paint it the way I want it.

I hope to have it done by the first of the year. Not in a rush on this one as the snow will fly soon so I will just ride it as a two wheeler till Oct than start on it.

When it is done I will post some photo of it.
