Are the Exhaust Port Studs threaded into the heads or are they pressed? If threaded, does anyone know what the thread size is for the end that goes into the head and also the thread size for threads the exhaust flange mounts to if different? Thank You All!

*a note, the wife got the parts on order that I have been asking about all week, hopefully times two so I can do my bike right after hers. It's so funny. My wife is already asking me if I want to do my bike first. The reason why is so the OJT (On The Job Training) is on my bike before I start on hers. I reminded her that my bike is not broke, hers is.
* One other thing, I have been on this computer four days straight, all day. I lost track of time till last night when I was talking to the wife and she told me it was Thursday. That is what I mean when I say I am slow but sure. I won't quit when I get focused, y'all know what it's like when ya get that way. You don't eat, drink, sleep, take your meds, etc.. Kinda like when your on a nice ride and wish you could just keep going. Our country is so beautiful, it's a pity we have people that wish us ill. Thanks! I was looking to put SS studs in, but after reading it is better to stick with stock or anything but SS. I just don't like those rusted up studs. I'm thinking while I am typing I think the SS stud thing is a bunch of Salami. I used ARP SS hardware on my aluminum intakes, aluminum blowers, aluminum heads, pressure regulators etc. and never had problems, I think I'll still use the SS not unless someone else can tell me why not.


Does this sound like the stud size? 5/16-18 on head side & 5/16-24 on the flange side & stud length 1.7 inches?

I am glad you put that link up. I followed it and got the info I needed. The link you gave me told me that they are ARP SS 5/16-18X5/16-24X1.7long with 12 pt. nut @ $31.00

Goto this link that I am going to give you. It is the same studs but with a hex nut instead of the 12 Pt. nut. The price at Summit racing is $18.95. I think I can live with the hex nut.
