Rinehart baffles?
« on: August 18, 2005, 10:52:46 PM »

Do the Rineharts come with some sort of baffle, or do yo buy and insert a performance set?  At 5000 miles mine are getting pretty darn loud, and if a baffle will improve performance, and not totally kill the sound, I would give them a try.
05 SEEG, Rineharts, Screamin' Eagle breather kit.
Thanks

Yes, they come with a 2-1/4" diameter baffles standard, and you can purchase separately a 2-1/2" baffle for about $100, which I did.  Did a before and after dyno, so that I could compare the results...got 7 more peak hp and 7 more peak tq. with the larger baffles, but my cams pistons and heads are not stock.  They are somewhat louder than the stock baffles, with a bit of a deeper tone.  I'm keeping mine.
