For sure, this side up. Too bad you have to pick though as both sides are nice.

And thanks for the idea. Now I need to figure out where I want to mount mine on LD

What are you going to use for glue ?

If you use one of those clear 'cointains' that RedFXR was talking about from the coin shops, you wouldn't have to risk ruining the coin with glue......just glue the cointain and you could always 'un-do' later. ;)  har!  spyder

I plan on mounting mine on my bike with 3M tape, the type that is on the SE medallion. It holds great and can be removed, if needed. I just haven't figured out where I want to mount it yet.

I haven't looked closely at my coins yet, but I don't think the acrylic covers the "gold" edge of the coin, I could be wrong though.  If it doesn't, and you're going to put the coin in an exposed area, might want to consider clear coating or something to keep it shiney.  That edge will dull down other wise and once glued on will be a bear to polish.  I'm just sayin.....

Right.  Although I was showing a jeweler-fashioned "collar" of sorts, that could then be mounted showing both sides of the coin, Spyder's "cointain" idea is also good.  Two halves of clear acrylic, glue on down, insert coin, pop on the top and you can decide which side to display.  The coin itself is easily removeable and is not directly exposed to weather.

I used 3M double sided tape also to mount a arrowhead my grandson gave me about a year ago; it's still mounted and hanging strong and if ya want to remove it just pull it off and spray with a shot of goo be gone IF it needs it. Already tried the goo be gone on paint; no issues at all.

Gave my coins away though.          Semper Fi Sean!  (Florida Marine)

Mine looks real good on the coil cover on my "05 Fatboy, also just used 3M double sided tape (you won't move that chit) and it took all of 5 minutes to do. :drink:

Check out this site for coin display options. Trying to figure out if I can mod the gold U shaped coin holder to fit on the bike.
