Y'all ain't gonna believe this! My mom & aunt are here in Japan visiting. So I signed us up for a tour of a traditional villiage and a waterfall new Mt Fuji. After 1.5 hours on the bus, we stop at a rest stop... and I see a bunch of bikes off in the corner of the parking lot, so I stroll over. Then, all the way in the back I catch a glimpse of a very distinct color of orange! Sure as chit... it was a SERG!

Bad thing was, I didn't have my camera with me, and they were saddling up and getting ready to roll. I tried to talk to the guy riding it, but he spoke pretty much NO english. I tried to explain I had one getting delivered to the States in 3 weeks... but that got me nowhere.

So, they rolled out with me excited at having seen one... bummed I didn't have my camera.

So we load up the bus, drive another hour and as we're pulling into the parking lot of another rest stop, I looked ahead, and THERE WAS THE SERG AGAIN, coming from the opposite direction, turning in to the same parking lot!!

I grabbed my camera and headed out to get a few shots. Didn't bother to try and talk again, just used the good old grunt & point to ask permission to take pics. He said yes... and then his riding buddy motioned for me to get on it and I couldn't pass it up, so I jumped on. Too bad I gave him the camera with it zoomed in some, so it got more of my ugly ass than the bike.
(he had a cool O/B/W helmet too!)

Then I jumped off & fired up a few more quick pics. That is MT Fuji in the backgroud (sucks it was cloudy, so you couldn't see the whole thing)

Not sure how many of these bikes made it to Japan, but what are the odds of running into it twice?!? Must be my destiny!
