Diet coke, I used a hammer and chisel to remove mine, worked great, Redirected the air flow around the forks a bit, but it's all good
Actually I cut mine off with an old nylon guitar string. Hey, it's a Nashville thing, you wouldn't understand.

My fear on the Road Glide was pulling the paint off of the saddlebags when removing the reflector. Heating it and using fishing line all the paint's still where it belongs.

Never had that happen Jim. Even pulled Joy's off the rear fender after being on for 9 years. No prob! That paint BETTER be on better than the double-sided tape! ;)

I know this is a little late response to this thread, but I just joined the group.  The dental floss/fishing line/heater solutions all work well, but I've found an even easier solution...spray on some WD-40 and let it soak for a while.  If you can pull up a little section and get some underneath it will work even better.  Then, just gently pull off with your fingers, clean the glue off either by rubbing or using GooGone, and hit with some good wax (I generally use S100).

I've used this method for years on countless Harleys with great results on reflectors, stickers, and other trim.

This worked pretty well with the reflectors on the saddle bags -- without the heat gun. Guess I'll get out the heat gun and try agan on the front fork relfectors. Floss was a no-go without heating them.

Got mine of with a hair dryer to heat it, then some fishing line.  I was then able to get the residue off with some s100.
