WTB lowers to fit my '09 SERG. All kind of lowers on Ebay, etc. that came off of Ultras, etc. Does anyone know the difference between RG and Electra Glide lowers? Besides the vent, is there a difference in the molds? Thanks.

big differences between the 2 gotta deal with the fairing mount not the greatest pictures but

That's kinda what I'm figuring. Is it just a matter of trimming the inboard top to clear the RG fairing mounts or something more?

i think its more then just that, Don or Chip could probally get you some better comparison shots

Well, that was a learning experience!

Road Glide and Electra Glide lowers are definately different.

The R/G doesn't have the extension part that covers the crash bar.

Heres a few pictures.

First is a front shot of the SERG.

Second shot is at the bottom, which appears to be a standard mounting point.

Really appreciate the pics Chip. Thoughts on just cutting off the circled part short of the RG fairing mount along the crash bar?? Seems like it would work but would it look like chit or could it actually be done well? For several hundred bucks difference I'm just wondering.

I would be careful mixing and trying to match parts.

I have lowers on the 01, 03, 05 and the 09 and they are all different.

I got the 03 lowers from MikeR so I'm not sure what year they are.

How much are new ones?

List. May go to Chicago H. D. Jenni's in state so I pay shipping and tax. For 25% off it's probably not worth the hassle of cutting, painting and cussing.
