Of course not!
45K on the 03
22K on the 01
21K on the 05
3.5 on the 09

Each ready to go!
And in the past 9 days each has been over a 100.
Like some NY guy said one time, I can't take it out unless I do that!

                             :2vrolijk_21:

Chip, let me do the math. Do not get mad at me just having some fun here!

It does help to keep them running if you have 4 bikes.
91,500 miles in 7 years on 4 bikes
That equates to 13071 miles per year total miles driven over the last 7 years
Divided 13071 miles by 4 bikes and you get an average of 3268 miles per bike /year

Even Howie might be able to keep a bike running for 3 or 4 years at that rate.

Howie needs a major build every 10K anyway, it is in his blood.

He includes it in his entertainment budget every year

Your math is flawed.
You didn't allow for the 17500 miles on the Lowrider, the 24500 miles on the other Classic, the 8000 on the Frontier and the 9500 on the 05 SEEG.
And if your going back 7 years you have to figure the 10K on the Buell and the 8K on the Hayabusa and the 5500 on the KLR and last but not least the 2K on the 50 CC scooters. What I posted is what's sitting in the garage at the moment. Not a listing of what's passed thru it in the past 4 or 7 years. Any other questions?

Edited to add,
I forgot the dirtbikes

KX500
KDX200
KDX220
CR125
GasGas 250
and others that I have forgot about

That’s good to hear. I gather that Henry had some trouble.

Sounds like North Carolina is pretty mild this time of year and you are making the most of it; must be a scream! I’ve ridden through North Carolina and you folks apparently do things a little differently around there. :) The hot tip is to bury the part in a sandy loam with just a touch of compost and a sprinkle of Old Milwaukee.

Speaking of snow; running any of the large displacement sleds on the trails in Michigan’s U.P. is an absolute blast. The big iron runs between 140 and 170 hp, out of the box, and there are no daytime speed limits. During the middle of the week, in select spots, if you can hang on you can run 100+ MPH legally all day long. The trails are usually insane on the weekends. I believe that if your need for speed is not met under these circumstances, you are most likely broken. Mistakes on the trails in the triple digits can be problematic, so you need to keep your head up.

I still prefer the off trail, back country riding in the winter. An ideal temperature for this is 0 to +10 degrees. If it gets up near freezing, you’ll quickly become soaking wet.

Now I’m getting all jacked up about this stuff again; I’ll try burnin’ off some steam on the sofa.  :smilie_staub:

I have a good friend here that's from New Hampshire.
I called him and told him he had to look at your snow pictures.
He's a horsepower junkie and was impressed with your sleds.
He's going back up there in the next few weeks and ride the hills.
Last year when he came back after riding for a week in the snow he had frostbite on his neck.
As he said, , , BOOST it where it's at!

Chip your case is made worse.

I will redo my math (just for fun)
174,500 miles in the last 7 years
24,929 miles per year
10 bikes in the last 7 years
17,400 miles per bike in the last 7 years
or 2486 miles/year per bike

Howie might get 4 years out of it.

Chip, again just having fun. No offense is intended
You obviously put a lot of miles on each year. I only wish i had that kind of time.

I’ve never been through New Hampshire, but I’ll bet it’s stunning; I will get out there on the bike in the next year or two. I thought I heard that in the winter, most of the folks in that region ride the trails. You don’t need the elevation that you have out west to have a great time off the trail. If access to the back country isn’t restricted, a 136 x 1.5 would be a great track for boondocking around that part of the country.

Here is another shot of the abyss up close. It’s important to remember that it’s only the last half inch that hurts.
