I have not decided what to do on the front. First step is the change in the rear, and yes you're right, stock is 13", so I'll go down 1.5" with the 11.5" 440's. When these are installed, I'll see how the bike looks, and if that change brings me down enough to be comfortable. If I need to, I'll then make changes to the front.

Congrats on your new shocks.  I'd have bought the black ones too and used the $30 towards a good ride.   :2vrolijk_21:

please keep us informed,I also are looking to lower the cuse4 was thinking of 12" 440s,i am going to take the 440s of my street glide and try them on the cvo and see how that goes, also orderd the h-d kit to lower it an inch on ft,the dam scoot is just to hard to back up not real happy, the street glide is a 07 and is perfect for me,looking for that feal in the cvo,I know part of the problem is in that seat because it gives me a diff angle to see the gauges on the cvo verses the flhx

Hi Louis
have you fitted the 11.5" shocks yet and if so how does it look and feel. Still looking to lower mine but want to make the right choice first time if possible.

Cheers

Yes, I had the 11.5's fitted. The ride is very good, I'd say almost no loss of comfort vs. the stock height. Now I am sitting very comfortably on the bike. Makes it much easier to handle when stopping and parking.

Thx Louis

I take it there are no problems with the side stand and the front end suspension height is still OK?

Best regards

On the sidestand the bike obviously does not lean as much as before, but it seems to be okay so far. One must be a little bit careful when the pavement is uneven. I did not change the front height at all. That is why you do not get the full 1.5" lowered at the seat, rather 1".

I make that 5' 8" which is good because at 6' 4" (1.93 m) you would be a strange shape if you needed the suspension lowered. I hit 1.75m or 5' 9" which i believe is 6ft 8 from a distance so I guess if the suspension works for you then it should suit me as well assuming that you dont weight in at 300lbs? :nixweiss: :P

Regarding my weight, I won't take any chances: 78 kgs. Do your own conversion !
