Frank,
I'm sorry to read that you got hit. Glad you are okay! I don't now how you didn't drop the bike, had to be help from above.
The good Lord had to be watching over you. Take the bike to the HD dealer of your choice and tell them to go through it with a fine tooth comb and check everything out, the let the insurance co do the worrying. Don't sign anything until you are completely satisfied that all is well. God bless and have a Happy New Year!

Pado sorry to hear about your bike but thank God that your OK, like every one says let the dealer of your choice check every thing on the bike. And let her insurance worry about it. Once again thank God you will be able to celebrate the new year.
To you and yours Frank Happy New Year.

That sucks!  What a way to ruin a great day.  Awesome that you're unhurt.  3 pages of good advise here.  Let us know how it turns out and toast one to the guardian angel tonight at midnight!  :2vrolijk_21:

While waiting to go to work yesterday I decided to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and just warm up the bike.  Only went about 10 miles and was almost home when a cage hit me broadside on the right.  She said she didn't see me.  Thank goodness I'm not hurt and I never dropped the bike.  The front right crash bar and lower bent into the tank.  The right rear saddlebag guard was bent snapping off the right rear bag.  Other than that I'm OK thank the Lord.

Need some input on tricks to get this repaired ASAP with the least amount of hassel.  Her fault and her ins. co. will pay.

NO CHIT Frank! I just saw this. Glad to hear you're alright. Just tell Precious to take "good" care of ya.  ;D Really glad you're ok.

Someone was watchin out for ya bro.  The bike is secondary.  I remember my accident, so I know that is not how you feel.  But mechanical can be fixed.  You cannot.  Make sure you get checked out real good.  My problems did not present for 10 years.  Although I did a header and came off my ride.  Just think now you have an excuse for some new stuff.  Best of luck Randy

Frank, glad you are OK!!!  Sounds like you were very lucky to come out of the wreck unharmed.
So lucky, you should buy some lottery tickets. All joking aside, I'm glad your OK.
Have a Happy and Safe New Year, Jack

Pado,

Take the bike to your dealer of choice. Don't walk... run!

Have the dealer do an estimate of repairs to present to her insurance company. DON"T let her insurance company's adjuster handle this. Your dealer will work with you to make sure everything is done right. This might take a little longer, but your bike will be as good as new when you're done.

My wife and I have both had crashes in the last two years and the dealership is the only way to go. There are just too many things that need to be checked for anyone else to do it.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Frank,
Sorry to read about your accident. Give thanks that you were not injured. They'll be making new bikes and new parts right after the holidays. It's a lot easier to fix a Ultra than a Frank.

Boy oh boy are you lucky!!  Blessed is more like it.  Like you say, thank the Lord you are alright.

I'll 2nd the posts that say take it to a dealer to make everything like new, and have them provide a loaner while repairs are being made.  The ins co should be delighted to do this given the potential for bodily damage.

Again, thank God for your New Year's gift of life.
