And it blows away what that other Robbie (Knievel) did in Vegas on NYE. That was really lame. He should hang it up! And ya gotta love the HD "1" logo in the background while he jumps on his 500 single Honda, unlike his old man!!! :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

I have to give Robbie Knievel some credit.... after all, he is 46 years old.  But Robbie Knievel isn't even in the same class with Robbie Maddison.  Knievel is "Old School" compared to Maddison.

I watched that live the other night it was absolutely amazing. That guy has some serious 'nads!!! As if getting up there wasn't bad enough he had to come (jump) back down. He did sustain some type of injury to his hand... not sure the extent of it, but when he took his left glove off it was bleeding pretty good and his thumb looked a little deformed. He was so amped up he probably didn't feel it until later that night or the next day.

Along w/this jump there was another guy (sorry can't remember his name) that did a 360 flip in a truck. He completed the jump/flip but when he landed he was off center and the truck rolled up on it's side.

How's this for cool!!!

http://www.videovat.com/videos/2394/travis-pastrana-double-backflip.aspx

And what it took!

"Manifesto
For me, the backflip represents everything that's great about being human.

There isn't a point to them really. They're beautiful, impressive and expressive. They make people ooh and smile, and bring a bit of joy to the world. They're free, and anyone can do them if they try.

They're a celebration of the human mind and it's natural struggle against it's own nature. People weren't designed to go upside down, but they like it.

They pull people into the now. No worrying about your boss, your mortgage, your bonus. All of that stuff is insignificant compared to not landing on your head.

They require bravery and dedication, and there are no magic shortcuts. They weed out cowardly lazy people, of which there are too many in the world. Because of this, they create respect and honesty.

Amen."

They both got serious nads, if you ask me.  Knievel is looking good for 46, but I have to admit, jumping back down looked seriously dangerous! I am really impressed!

I still can't believe he jumped back off that building.  I don't know if I could even walk to the edge of that roof.  Riding your bike off there...okay, that's priceless.

There you go! I also thought that jumping down took way more courage than the way up.
