Have them re-do a full prep while you pace back and forth impatently grunting and cussing under your breath...watching them checking all the fluids....
I had one bike delivery experience a few years ago where they just didn't do squat, when they noticed I was not amused or at my 1st dance with HD, they got to it.
I got the 1k and 5 service comped but at the 1 k, they skipped stuff and scratched the bike...That was 4 bikes ago and none ever came from them again..I am going to have to keep the 09 because I think I am out of dealers to use in Florida...
Reminds me a little of the experience when I picked up the red bike. While doing the paperwork on the SEEG with the title clerk she rambles on about the dealer prep work. How careful. How this and how that. My eyes had rolled up to pursue the initial progress of a ballistic arc no one else but me could see so I'm not sure exactly what she was saying. But she was obviously very proud.
The (then) service manager had already told me about the efforts they'd put in. Test ride. Detail. The whole deal. The sales guy who tried to explain to me that "MSRP was different on the CVO bikes" had emphasized the bike would be full of fuel and ready to go and that the service staff would show me "how to work it all."
After screwing around for 90 minutes first with the title clerk then just waiting for someone to tell me to get on my bike and ride away I'm finally told the detail is done and I can go. The bike is very clean. It also shows 1.7 miles on the odometer (hell of a test ride), it runs out of gas before I make it 10 blocks to the closest fuel stop and the clutch master cylinder almost immediately start dropping fluid out the seal.
Heluva test ride and check out. They had at least turned the tour pak around the right direction and bolted it down. So it was a model assembly effort.
