yep i just changed the push rods and oil, filter, same lifters tho, i think my next try will be changing the lifters ?, it is mostly coming from the front when i hit the throtle a little it rattles more then smothes out , i dont know what rpm it's at but it isn't that high, how can you tell if your push rods are rubbing? i'm not sure of the extent of work done on the motor prior to me getting it, i know all this isn't much help guy's but i bought the bike used, and i'm lost myself, would there be any side to side movement in the box's?

sound exactly like mine. the new pushrods are probly rubbing at the rocker box or tube. if you pull those front ones out you can see where they rub. again for me the s/e tapered pushrods solved it

I'm using the S&S w/limiters. The stock lifter is supposed to be one of the best. I'd use new stock ones before the SE. ;)

ok i have installed the new push rods with 3 full turns and i still have the noise, i couldn't afford to go with new lifters yet cash flow is nill, so but here it is when i rev it up between 1800 and 2100 rpm is when it gets louder then smoothes out any suggestionsi think i should go with the new lifters as soon as $ comes available :-\
