This could be the perfect solution for the guys that want to use the rivco lowered centerstand and still keep the 12 inch shock height. The small increase in tire diameter would help to make the bike easier to get up on the stand.

I'll stick with the stock Dunlop.  I'm amazed at the mileage that I'm getting compared to what I used to get on my Ultra Classics with the Metzlers.  And this bike is heavy enough that I don't need the softer compound to get the traction that I needed on my lighter hot rod bikes of yesteryear.  JMHO

BTW - The 140/90B16 Metzeler will cause your speedo to read 2.6 mph slow compared to the stock Dunlop.

2.6 mph at what speed?  Compared to two different GPS units' measures it's about 3 mph slow at 75 to begin with.  It's still close enough for putting around town when the GPS unit isn't on the bike.

I too have made the switch to the ME-880's and really like the feel, especially in the wet.
The first one went 9,500 ! since then I have been watching the pressures more closely, and have noticed the the wear seems to be better on the new one. Several folks said to run them with a little more pressure, ie 40 front 44 rear. I notice a few more road wrinkles, but sure do like the way it corners.

I doubt I will go back to the Dunlops.

The more I look at and read about the Metzelers, The more I think this are what I'm looking for [smiley=bigok.gif] Better in the rain,no grooved surface problems!! [smiley=beerchug.gif]
