I heard a Hog Pod on a bike and ordered one from Jim (hd-dude).

Had to have it painted to match the bike so here's a few pictures.

It sounds good and I like the look.

May change out the speaker grills in the future when the fairing comes off next time.

I had the painter paint the parts that kinda shows behind the grills gloss black.

Tell me what you think!

here it is unassembled after painting

As is always the case,,,pictures do not do the silver justice.
You have to see the silver in the sunlight.

I noticed in the picture below the reflection of the Hog Pod shows more sparkle than the Hog Pod.
What can I say?

Also, click on any of the above pics to enlarge.

Thanks Mr. D

After riding tonight I will change the grills to the ones that look like stock on the bike.

Anybody know if you can install the Hog pod with the stock stereo system?  I am satisfied with my factory HK system and amp, but would like the extra tweeters near ear level. I know everybody says the complete upgrade is superior, but I don't want to fix something that isn't broken.

I don't think I saw anyone answer this yet.  I don't see any reason why not.  With or without upgrading the other speakers, the tweeter pod still operates from the stock amp or radio.  Once you mount the unit on the fairing, you pull the wires from the speakers, and there is a "Y" speaker wire that connects to the end of the original wire connectors.  One end of the "Y" goes to the fairing speakers and the other to the tweeter pod.  There is no reason for it not to work.

Thanks for the answer. Now I just have to find a painter.

Thanks for the answer. Now I just have to find a painter.

Where are you located?  It's not listed on your profile.  That might help someone suggest a painter that's close to you that's already come up with a match for your color.  It's a nice, quick job spraying one of these.  The time involved is in trying to match the color.  Also, what color is your bike?  There are quite a few that have had theirs painted already, and you might get lucky and be close to someone that already has your color mixed and ready to spray.  Filling out your profile can be real helpful in getting the right answers to a lot of questions.
