                                               "Choosing The Hard Thingzzz'

  Hello my friends,
I'm sorry this is so early but Admiral and I have to leave tomorrow morning early on a family emergency. Please be praying for us and Admiral's mother. Thank you and God Bless.
Miss Kitty

Please read 2 Corinthians 4:5-18

We are hard-pressed
on every side, yet not
crushed; we are
perplexed, but not
in despair.  2 Corinthians 4:8

Today's world is filled with energy-saving devices that make life easier, but there is something to be said for embracing life's challenges. The apostle Paul found serving Christ hard, but he didn't see it as a cause for discouragement. He continued to focus on Christ. Paul knew that "He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you" (2 Corinthians 4:14). The goal was worth the pain. By the grace of God, may we commit to serving Jesus, not just when it's easy, but when it's hard.

Jesus gave His all to save us,
are we giving our all to serve Him?

                                                           "Waiting For The Harvest"

 Good morning friends,
Please read Mark 4:26-29

First the blade, then the
head, after that the full
grain... The harvest
has come.  Mark 4:28-29

When we hear indiviuals  share their conversion experience, we may conclude that faith happened all at once. But their salvation frequently carries an extended backstory of spiritual pilgrimage before they made that decision. They needed time to reflect on the gospel. For them, coming to the Savior was a process. Because people may need time and multiple exposures to the gospel before they are ready to make that decision, we need to be sensitive to where they are in their faith-journey. In the meantime, we can cultivate spiritual interest, pray for them, and wait for the harvest!

Have you thought of where you're going,
When this earthly life has past,
Will the seed that you are sowing,
Bring a harvest that will last?

We sow the seed,
God produces the harvest.

God Bless, my friends.

IS THE HEART OF MAN DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY WICKED?
According to the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus taught, "If you see a woman and lust after her, I say that you have already committed adultery in your heart." In other words, even if you don't commit adultery in the flesh, you've committed it just by lusting after someone. Now suppose you see someone in need, who needs some cash or a ride to the nearest Harley dealer, and you yearn in your heart to give it to them, but don't. Does that mean you have already committed "charity" in your heart?  :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

Think about it.

well, at least I won't need a coat where I am headed...and my tires will never go low due to the cold!

Good thing about being a Catholic, I can go to confession and get the clean slate - heck last year in Fallujah I got to attend mass where we had General Absolution only available to Catholics during combat ops!  Cleared the past 40 years of my indiscretions!  :drink:

And they make fun of Catholics!  Ha!  We get un-delete button built into our clergy!   :2vrolijk_21:

I thought about sending you a donation last year for Chrome. Can I deduct it from my income taxes?

Icy,
I thought deeply about your insightful and liberating post, and decided that I too should look for the beautiful inner peace in my life.  But upon looking around my house,  if I did as you,  I might fall back in to the decrepitude from where I came.  Therefore,  I've planned to finish my "to do list" over several days.

Saturday:
3/4 liter Makers Mark
Last 28 Oxycontin
two twinkies
last 3 slices of cooked ham

Sunday:
Left over take out
1 orange
7 blueberries
1/2 liter Wild Turkey
last of the Vicoden
1 hit of crack

Monday:
2 cans of V8
1 moon pie
1/2 bottle of Lexapro
2 Quailudes
last of the Grey Goose

Tuesday:
Smoke the last 1/2 oz weed
Urgent care for the stomach pump
start 30 day rehab.
as for the 1/4 lb of meth,  I'll turn that in at the rehab.

I want to thank you for showing me the way to enlightenment,

I'll call you when I get out!!!

Well,
It's Tuesday and I'm wrecked.  Icy,  your system may work for a day or so,  but I really think I should have spread out the Oxycontin out a few extra days. The rehab wouldn't take me today,  told me to come back next week when I was clean and sober.  If it were that easy, I wouldn't be there.  I think I'll start looking for that inner peace elsewhere, there is a great little pub down the street.

Managing The Mess"

Hello friends,
I apologize for the delay but where we are in Florida is a very remote island called "No Name Key" and they have terrible interception for the internet. Please read Ruth 1:15-22.

Why do you call me Naomi,
since the Lord has testified
against me, and the Almighty
has afflicted me?   Ruth 1:21

The Hebrew word for "Almighty" (Shaddai) indicates God's sufficiency for any situation. The word "Lord" (Yahweh) refers to His faithfulness as the loving covenant-keeping God. I love the way Naomi put these two names together. In the midst of her complaint, she never lost sight of the fact that her God was a capable and faithful God. And, sure enough, He proved His capability to deliver her and His faithfulness to care for her to the very end. If there seems to be no way out of your despair, remember that Naomi's God is your God as well. And He specializes in managing our messes to good and glorious outcomes. Thankfully, He is both capable and faithful. So, when your life is a mess, remember who your God is!

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future as He has seen the past.
Thy hope, the confidence let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.

Stand back and watch the Lord manage your mess into a glorious outcome.

God Bless.

Hello my friends,
Please read Luke 5:12-16

Jesus put out His hand
And touched the leper.  Luke 5:13

Jesus, our example, spent His entire ministry among the suffering, healing them and bringing them the good news of God’s love (Luke 7:21-22). How significant are the jobs we do? Sure, its vital to make a living to support ourselves and our families. But is there something we can do to relieve the suffering in our world of pain? We may not be able to move to a foreign land and help out the suffering and sick, but we can all find ways to assist someone right here. In whose life will you make a difference?

God uses us to show His love
To people caught in life’s despair;
Our deeds of kindness open doors
To talk of God and His great care.

One measure of out likeness to Christ is our sensitivity to the suffering of others. God Bless.

And the drivel goes on like you all are invisible. I guess its the other cheek bullchit or something. I guess I just don't get it. Why do we need a sermon or cut and pasted verses from the good book? What the hell is the relevance of it anyway. My opinion. I guess it must work for the masses on the site for whatever reason.  God Bless and God Speed Brethren so it is written and so it is done. Peace be with  you, Q

Hello dear friends,
Please read Malachi 2:10-16

Let none deal
Treacherously with
The wife of his youth. Malachi 2:15

Nothing is more heartbreaking to god than for a family to break apart. In Malachi 2, we see God’s view of marriage. It symbolizes His covenant with His people (Malachi 2:11). He takes it very seriously, and so should we.

Thinking it over.
In Malachi 2:11, what is “profaned” and how?
How does Malachi 2:15 echo Genesis 2:24?
Why is this important? (Malachi 2:15-16).

Put Christ first if you want your marriage to last.

God Bless.

I gotta jump in with Q here - I am a devout Christian, as are all my family, but have always followed the guidance of the big man to pray in my inner room and not hang my beliefs out for the world to see (was actually the gospel at mass last night for Ash Wed).

We don't discuss politics here any longer, religion is right up there with things that create arguments and huge divisions within a group.
