BEWARE NEW VANCE AND HINES EXHAUST OUTPUT

Installed Vance and Hines "Dresser Duals" on my '09 SE Road Gilde and '09 SE Ultra Classic.
Also installed cams and tuner. The duals look terrific- but VERY DISAPOINTING HP results!
Gained only 4-5 HP (up to only 102 on the RG, 96 on the Ultra!!). The crossover pipe looks like a vacuum nozzle. Went to a Bub 2 into 1 with fake dual on the Ultra Classic, picked up 13 HP back up to 109, 116 lbs. torque. Just an FYI!

Thank you for the  info. I talked to Steve @ fullsac, He told me he will have his 2 into 1 to 2, out soon. He said this will be a power maker. I think this info is already on the board.

On the Ultra, you went with Bub 2 into 1 with fake dual.  On their website, they only show up to 2008.  Is that what you used?
You also said you installed cams and tuner.  What cams and what tuner?  Did you do anything else to generate those numbers?  I'm assuming you did something with the intake.  Anything else?

I used an Andrews 55 cam, Techno Research tuner. The 2 into 1 faux dual configuration was created using a Rinehart Thunder Header and making the fake side using same Rinehart tip with the stock pipe section running under frame. Looks good, runs MUCH better now!

Don't forget to spray some flat black inside the tip of the fake pipe otherwise it will be nice and shiney inside when your other pipe will be blacker...makes it look like you're still running twin pipes.   :2vrolijk_21:

I have a question regarding D&D Fat Cat 2-1 and ghost pipe.  If you put the 2-1 on, what is the ghost pipe like?  Is it a matching muffler and pipe separately?  What I am wondering is if you could just use the muffler from the ghost side and connect it to the pipe that runs under the frame, rather than running it up to the read head.  I'm curious as to whether that would work, but I should be able to find out shortly anyway, as my friend just bought a bike with the Fat Cat already installed and he has the ghost pipe ordered right now.  I will be able to look at what he gets sometime soon and see if it's possible.

I've seen it mentioned here on the forum several times that the ones for the 08 will work on the 09.  I'm not sure of what needs to be done to do so, since the brackets would probably be in different spots on the 09's.
