my serg cruises at 100mph... :coolblue:...have pegged the speedo a couple of times. :orange:
there is a time and place for everything.
its hard to wind out in 6th, need a long straight to get above 4krpm.

one thing i like about the 09's is the cruise control will function till 90 er so. :2vrolijk_21:

my 08-103 is prolly as fast as the 110. and yes warranty is void.

We still haven't seen a post over 125 MPH off the Florida turnpike.. does anyone know if they will push 130-140. Just remember the difference between 70 and 120 is 6' ..... Ride Safe

If you bought one of these for the speed...you are going to be disappointed!  The foreign bikes are faster!  Foreign bikes have more HP/TQ than these CVO bikes.  What is the 09SERG to you?  To me, It's fast enough...you can sure outclass all the touring and sport bikes that hide their motors behind plastic cladding. 

If you take out our motors and place them on the dining table, you have a piece of industrial ART!!!  What we have is a slice of a 1930s aircraft radial engine throbbing between our legs and propelling us down the road.

Now THAT IS CLASS :2vrolijk_21:

I know the SE is not the fastest bike on the streets...but who would have imagined the HD's would run like this in the 70's. I had a 1200 Sportster in the 70's, and wouldn't think of running 100 MPH or leave the garage without a tool pouch back then...they sure are fun now!!!

I love the quickness of a bike always have.  I am not into top speed, just the fact I can get on it when I want to.  But I keep to two rules; is it safe for me and can I afford it?

I'm the same way. I like to be able to accelerate when I want or need to. Top speed is not an issue for me. A buddy of mine has a Hyabusa and says he chickened out at 175 despite still having a lot of power and throttle left to call on. That bike is supposedly capable of 200mph. I have no desire whatsoever to go that fast.

While I have had my forays into triple digit speeds, it was always for a very short period with minimal (or no) other vehicles on the road at the time. On the other hand, I do love to twist the throttle when leaving a stop light or getting on the freeway or passing another vehicle or... you get the idea. ;)

Were you scared?  I've had the bike up over 115 mph a couple of times and been plenty happy...and scared >:(
