I just used these for the first time. They are nicely made but if you use a tour pak you can't open your saddlebags and you can't expand the bags. In this way they do not hold much but they are easy on and off as long as you don't mind squashing them a little to get them under the tour pak. We just came back from a 1,300 mile trip and I don't see any chafing from the straps. So if you have the tour pak they would give some extra space without too much effort.

They look like they would get in the way of the passenger's legs also.
