Welcome, I am a newbie also. To solve your riding problems in the winter just come to Florida, I ride with a bunch of north of the border snowbirds all winter long.

Welcome from Ohio.....my 2003 Ultra used to do the same thing.. drove me crazy trying to find it.... it ended up being the left rear muffler attachment under the saddlebag, it sounded exactly as you described, i would have swore it was coming from the front. Sprayed the rubber mount with a lil WD 40 and it quit, for awhile.

Welcome Marty, I had the exact bike with that exact noise than went away when warm...major mystery that can only be duplicated when cold, so you'd have to leave overnight to someone who's a good wrench to check out

hey marty, i have had some what the same problem in the past after washing bike, they said it was the mounts, got better as it dried. just thought i'd throw that out there. congrats on the scoot. brian
