I have an 08 SEUC and yes I have had the rear cylinder leak issue but I have over 25k on it now and it runs awesome. As people have stated ride the hell out of it and do your maintenance and the bike will be good to you!!

My Evo with a more aggressive replacement cam makes less noise than my 110.  Hell, my brother's Shovel makes less noise than this thing!

On my 08 SEUC until I found someone good that could dyno and re-map that motor I had all the different noises. I now have it well tuned and it is quiet as a mouse. That is with 113ft/lbs of torque. That is the way it is this week and hopefully will last. It has taken a year and a half to get that baby running awesome!!

You bring up a good point about negativity. We ride the best motorcycles in the world. But like any manufactured product,  problems occasionally arise.

Compared to your '08 Ultra you will find less heat, especially if you get rid of the catalytic converter header. Handling is noticeably better. You will notice some different engine noises coming from the 110. Don't be alarmed. For those of us who have ridden a Evo's or installed gear drive cams in a TC-88/95/103 the 110 will sound quiet any speed in comparison. The old 5 speed transmissions whine in 4th gear while the 6 speed wines in 5th, again normal. If you are at all concerned then get the extended warranty. Rest assured you and your wife will love the bike!! Congratulations on a excellent purchase.

I sure do wish the snow would melt and sand and salt wash away soon.....my bike is still at the dealer and want badly to ride it. If it has less heat than my 08 ultra did I'm gonna be happy. Planning some long trips this year and can't wait much, I hate old Man winter and wanna take a hit out on him! I have to admit that after reading all the comments about my thread I feel more relaxed and confident about my CVO now, thanks Guys and Girls.  I just wanna be in the WIND!!! Not much longer now.

Just an update, picked-up bike, have about 1200 miles on it and no troubles with motor, it is kinda noisey like most Harleys. LOVE the power and it was about 90 degrees today here and it seems to not be running any hotter than the Ultra I traded in......now if I could just get the NAV fixed.

I got to try out the NAV and it seems to be working as it is intended. It was a scorcher out there today, and I see we are in for another tomorrow.  Off to bed now.  I have to get up early to ride and with a NAV system working, I can find my way back home from wherever I end up.

Quite a few of you keep saying to to a Stage 1,  replace the air cleaner, new pipes, add a tuner of some sort, get rid of the Catalitic converter, and be sure to buy the extended warranty. Doesn't making these changes void the warranty??

That's the same conclusion I came to.  Bottom line.. know yourself, know what you will be happy with, and act accordingly.

Ask your dealer!  Think about it.  How many Harleys have changed their pipes and air cleaner and tuner?  Do you think that all of these people are running around with no warranty?  I never even gave it a second thought until I saw people saying this stuff on this forum.  My dealer told me that as long as they put the stuff on, they will still honor the warranty.  I would think they would have a pretty difficult time turning down someone that had that stuff put on elsewhere or self install.  You can't deny warranty coverage because this bike has X pipes on it, and the next one warranty it with the same setup, only because they did the install.  Now, by the letter of the warranty, maybe it says no, but they have pretty much screwed themselves already by honoring the warranty for others.  Anybody that puts on a complete new exhaust has eliminated the CAT.  Look at it another way also.  How can they void your warranty with parts that they produce and then sell to you and install for you?  (stage I kit, super tuner, etc)  They may be able to exclude those parts, except for the warranty that those parts carry, and they would have to do a pretty good job of proving that those parts caused other damages to not cover those other damages.  Again, talk to your dealer and if they tell you no, find yourself another dealer.

There are a very limited number of changes that can be made by your dealer (I think just 1 cam choice) without voiding the warranty.  I'm sure there are dealers who fudge on this, but I always feel like it's a gamble when the dealer is going outside the boundaries & you basically need to take their word for it.  And what if you're away from the dealer who did the work when you have a problem?

If you want a few mild upgrades & you'll be happy with that, then yes you can keep your warranty.

 :orange:
I traded my 07 SE Ultra for the 09.  Yes I had the issues with the 07 110 but after the HD recall and rebuild I put 6,000 hard miles on the engine in the south Texas heat.  No problems.

Love my 09 and would recommend anyone to buy one.  I have 3,300 miles in the first five weeks.  A much better bike than the 07.

Congratulations.
