With the 14" dark tint I can see thru it at night but would not want to ride that way as it is harder to see thru it at night, I look over the 14" with room to spare and have no issues with the shield, yes you get wind noise but not that bad in my opinion, no eye glass movement is a plus, I may have just got lucky with the windshield height to my body height. From what I read here other people are having issues which I do not.  Doc

Thanks, Doc.  I think I'll just wait until I get my SERG and then do some measuring.  I'd prefer the dark tint and I prefer to look over the windshield so I think it will work for me as long as I get the right height.  I was just hoping I could order a windshield before I got the bike and be ready to go, but I think I'll just wait now.  They've actually got my bike they're just waiting to make sure all the salt is off the roads before test riding it before I take delivery.

My CB 14" dark tint arrived yesterday. My SERG was at the dealer having CB Radio and Intercom installed. (Hmmm... CB Windshield - CB Radio... confusing!)

Had to have my father-in-law drive me to the dealer and trailer the SERG back since I had an outpatient procedure yesteday and have been on pain meds today. Then we had company for dinner last night. So, no chance to get the shield on.

Today, we have sleet & rain all day, so I'll be in the cage headed to work shortly. Maybe tonight, I'll get some quality time with the SERG... assuming no more pain meds necessary... :(

Oh, and they ain't so little. The one they busted up on Tuesday was about 8mm -- 1/3"... Try passin' that, cowboy!

Hey RickC, after the meds wear off take a really good look at your shield.  Talked to Joe this morning and he is doing the remolding process on mine tomorrow.  FYI there may have been a couple more bad ones ship out.  He explained the problem with the plastic and it is very understandable.  What I don't understand is letting junk product out the door.  Anyway, he's on it and I don't expect anymore problems.

I feel ya, 61bbltop...

Ten or eleven years ago had a one-incher that took two rounds of bustin separated by six weeks during which I wore a stent. Ouch!

Two and a half years ago had a couple smaller ones that got stuck on the right side. Had a stent for a week and a half then they went in after those. Ouch again!

This time, I'd had unexplained back pain for two weeks and called the male plumbing doc. He decided to take a look and found three still in the kidneys via CT scan on Friday. They zapped the biggest one (on the left) on Tuesday. Gonna assault the other two in the near future.

All I can say is that I'm sick o' this chit! The pain meds make me stupid(er), but the alternative is to be in constant pain. UGH!

I am going to have to do this Wednesday when I get home from Off Shore.  I put my shield on the night before I left to come off shore, so I have not rode with it yet, nor checked for symetry.

I was obviously in a drug-induced stupor when I wrote the above. It is not Friday and I am just now feeling enough better to think straight... and the shield is still not on the bike because it got colder than heck while I was down.

Perhaps this weekend...
