Well, I finally quit my bitchin' and, thanks to the sale, ordered a 14" dark tint CB on Saturday.

I've got my 8" KW on at the moment and it is only slightly better than stock... and I mean very slightly...

grandpadoc,  It looks like you have the "old" style 14" shield that is laid back more than the "New & Improved" version advertised for the 09SERG's.  I'll bet if you order the SERG gasket and the 09 shield you'll see even better results as far as wind noise.

Ya, you 09 guys have all the fun !!  I guess I'm still stoked on the looks, maybe when that wears off I'll try the newer one. I might pull the trigger on a 2010 and do it then if they come out with a complete touring version. ::)  Doc

Do you really know it for fact that there will be a SERG in 2010 , or just guess ( and hope ? ) .

If I had to guess I'd say yes. If I had to wish it would be a complete touring bike with lowers, tourpack, CB 15'' shield, shark fin end caps, and a liquid cooled high hp/torque engine.  You know Willie lurks on this site every day don't you.  ;D  Doc

Once you go RG ya can't go back. The dealers will create the demand. The one I saw this weekend at our local dealer sold for 39,250 !! If the motor goes wet the frame mounted fairing is the only one that makes sense. Doc

I think they will have a second year on the CVO RG and have the SE StreetGlide instead of the SE Ultra.  Also the SE Springer will go away.  There's too many still sitting on the floor.  Maybe a SE Deluxe?

I'll bet the SE FatBob goes away, too, in 2010. Every dealer in the area has at least one on the floor. Some have two. Most of them are yellow...

UPDATE:  I just got my invoice for the 14" Dark and low & behold...they charged me the sale price of $218 including shipping when I ordered it a week before the sale for $277!  I'd say CB is pretty Straight Up in my book :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:  They more than made up for the early pricing SNAFU :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I ordered my 14' cb windshield 1 week b4 the sale and they still sold me the dark tint 4 $218.00 delivered. Wow, now thats a great company! If I could only get rid of the bleepin snow.
