Just returned from a class in Orlando and had a couple of extra days to kill. We rented bikes from Orlando Harley south in Kissimmee, and they are great to deal with. Took 192 West out of Kissimmee to 27 north to 19 north which took us in to the Ocala National Forest. It is a really nice scenic ride. We rode all the way through there and ended up at Backwoods Barbecue, a place I found online when I typed in Florida Harley rides on the net. Had luch there and I would recommend it highly, and it is in the middle of nowhere. Rode back down through the park to 40 and took it east to Daytone and stayed at Destination Daytona for a night in the hotel. It was very nice and we hit all of the shops. If you have not been there, it is worth the trip. We left out of there the next morning and rode south on A1A along the ocean and made the loop through national seashore there which was also not to be missed. Ask them at the dealership and they can tell you how to do it. Rode on down to the Cape along the beach and on to Cocoa Beach. We took a shortcut back to Kissimme and rode an out of the way road which has to be about 20 miles of the straightest 2 lane road in the middle of nowhere I have ever seen. It is pretty cool, ask them about it at the dealership if you rent there. Overall about 500 miles in the two days and a great scenic ride with a little bit of everything. Feel free to get with me if you have any questions, would love to share any thoughts you might be interested in. Thanks.
