just completed an all L E D upgrade on the scoot,Lenses and all.what does everone think. All The L E Ds are super brights.Setup is from http://customdynamics.com/.most definantly looks better but thats just me
New bike arrived today wanted to do the same smoked lenses as PNut but guess what totally different back end in the U.K.. Apparantly you can get a conversion kit for the top box guess how much in dollars - $900-yep thats right. Guess it will be staying as is. Still plenty more to spend money on.

How does the reflector under the tail light come off?

It's sticked on the license plate bracket.

you need to take the brkt of the turn sig bar off,

take the tail light off.
disconnect the 2 plugs for the turn sig
take bar off
take the 2 bolts out that hold the reflector to the turn sig bar out

reverse steps and done

The rear reflector looks like the bracket goes up under the light some how. Any more info?

All I did is remove the two bolts from the turn signals and turned the bar. I was then able to get the two bolts out. looks much better. Thanks

just a note when installing the cluster led's for the tour pack you'll have to do it by removing the lenes<the cluster is bigger than the hole for the socket.I did mine when the dealer had to change out my trim piece around the lights for the tour pack as it was damaged at delivery The lenses do come out but have to be REAL carfull. The light strips are straight foward and take about a minute

part #s are

Smoked LED Ultra Tour Pak Light Kit  for 2006 and Up HD
Item: UTP-LED-S
Price: $199.95 pair

hope this helps

jon

Jon,
Did you take off and/or put back on the tour-pak run/brake light lenses yourself?  I'm curious as to how difficult it was and how possible/likely it is to scratch or chip the painted trim around those lights.  I've seen that the lenses have 3 tabs on them as well as being glued in with non-hardening glue (butyl?).  I'm thinking of doing something very similar to yours to add LEDs and turn signals to the tour-pak.  If I'm replacing the lenses to smoked, a guy could always just dremel cut the lenses in sections and pull them out with much less stress on the lens and the paint?  I don't have my bike yet, so I can't get a close look at it.

Also, with the lenses being smoked (possible stupid question alert  :P), are the LEDs themselves colored red when they light up or do the lenses help them appear red?   :confused5:   On the custom dynamics pics, the LEDs look clear to me but I'm no LED expert as to how they get color.  Their site also says the side marker LEDs have 7 lights, but it looks like your bike has 11, which more is better but can't help but wonder why the difference.   :confused5:

Please see my thread http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=33760.0  to see what I'm trying to do with mine.

TIA, Mike
