I'm having difficulties with the adjustment screws for my new AK-20 kit. Before you tell me to contact the folks at Traxxion, I already spent considerable time talking to Mike (twice) and Martin. Maybe I just couldn't explain my situation well enough to get an answer that made sense. I ordered the kit and had it delivered to my dealer who installed the fork tubes. The star shaped adjusting nut has an Allen set screw to hold it in place against a flattend area on the shaft. I was never sent any instruction or paper work for tuning, other than the invoice. I finally obtained some instructions and completed the final adjusting. When I bottom the start nut and back it out 1 1/2 turns, the shaft that the start nut is attached to is very loose. It's loose enough that I believe the settings will vibrate loose. I'm puzzled and frustrated with the verbal instructions I received from Traxxion. It is not the kind of service I had grown to expect. For you guys who did your own install, do you guys remember if the shaft with the star adjusting nut was fairly loose? I even called Jim aka(H-D Dude) and he could not remember if it was tight or loose. He recommended that I back it out and apply just a small amount of Locktite to keep it in place.
I don't want to over react, but once the nacelle cover is put on, it will be hard to reach. I will put a mark on the location and keep an eye on it but I thought I would check with you guys.
I also have a set of Bitubo's that I purchased from them.
Thanks,
Ray G.
