The install work continues. Here's days 3 and 4. The crete is 7 inches thick (needed to make up some height) and loaded with rebar. The concrete installers are taking a few days off to go to warmer weather and let the base cure for a while. They will be back in 4 days to finish their portion of the job, which are the side walls in the hole and the reinforced concrete for the conduit run. You can see the bag of portland cement on top of the Quikcrete. I bought three extra bags of that. They are throwing a big shovel full of portland in the mixer with every two bags of Quikcrete to give it 6,000 pound per square inch strength.
I decided to have a steel fabricated frame to sit the lift on, so I can level it perfectly and get the lift base pan off the concrete. That will be done tomorrow. When the steel frame is put on the concrete base and the lift is on the frame, it will be flush with the garage floor. More later.
