Well after many attempts the bike was working well for about a 100 miles now the trans seems to have taken a turn for the worst, its back in the dealers for the 3rd time with bad noise issues. I was unlucky with this bike so far. been in the shop for over 2 weeks. Now the stator hole in the case is leaking and the starter is still haning up.  Doc

Sorry to hear about your problems with this new '09 SERG. If I'm not mistaken wasn't this one a replacement for a recent ride that HD couldn't get right? Buyback?

The buy back was done on a 07 RG that the flywheels let go, I traded up to a 08 EG and that was OK but when I seen the 09 FLTR SE 3 I had to have it, now back in the chit with this one. Going to give HD custumer service a call this morning. See If I can not that this resolved some how.  Doc

Complete new trans is on order and should be here next Tues. Just hope it all goes together well and all the problems are solved, no motorcycle lemon laws in Fl..  Doc

I find it amazing how the MOCO can take every opportunity to make money off their customers. First they design a s--t product and then make us pay to  buy the part which should have been on the bike when it is purchased or even worse pay to fix what should not have ever broken in the first place....I guess 35K does not buy Harley quality anymore

After a three week wait I picked up the bike from the dealers last night, they have replaced the Trans and the whole primary. By the time I rode it home it was making the noise again so had to bring it back again. The area rep. will have to come back again to do some more  checks. I am losing my patents on this bike, have owned it 3 months and its been in the shop two of those months. Just venting.   Doc  The kicker is the dealer has one on the floor same color.

This really bits it. The area rep. will take 1 to 2 weeks to even get over to the dealers to look at it again, The dealer is stumped as to what it could be, as so am I. Very pronounced rattle in neutrel with clutch out, pull the clutch in ,it stops also can hear it while riding. It sure seems like the trans, but what are the chances of 2 bad ones?   Doc

this sux doc. sounds like you have been more than patient. call customer service and while not demanding, be firm on a resolution to satisfy you. make them think its there idea. :nixweiss:

 at the least i think they should provide a loaner, but they never ask me.

The Rep will be here again thur, will see what happens this time, Got here faster than the last time, and yes I have been on the phone with the customer service. The dealer offered me a loaoner for 2 days , I want my bike , not a rental.  Thanks Doc
