Garmin Zumo help please
« on: March 01, 2009, 01:29:44 PM »

I have purchased the 2009 screaming eagle ultra classic....I travel a lot and the navigation system that comes with it stinks.....will only pull up probably 3 out of 10 locations that I desire to go to......Plus you have to have the CD in the unit every time you change your destination, but the sound does work thru the stereo speakers.....

I ordered and paid to have the dash mount installed after it came in 2 weeks later they notified me it will not work on this bike because of the dashboard......So I bought the handle bar mount Garmin Zumo installed from dealership...Now I can not set the time on my stereo unit...The GPS has no sound even after hooking up the acc. wire from the stereo to the back of gps.....also the bluetooth works but has no sound, but the person I am calling can hear me fine......The dealership informed that they only hooked up the hot/ground wire....They do not test the unit, nor do they set the time back after unhooking the battery for service.....Harley Davidson of the woodlands, Spring, Texas

Does anybody have any clues as what to do

It is your Daylight Saving Time setting that is the issue.

You should have it in the NAV owner manual.  I have scanned the page from my '06 manual.  Hope this is it.

Have you disconnected the power to it?

I would try that first, disconnect for 5 minutes and reconnect.

Mine locked up once.  Somewhere there is a thread that points to a firmware upgrade.  Fixed my problem, maybe would help with yours.
