Tail of the Dragon - Interstate 3 Cut Through

For those of you with knowledge of the Tail of the Dragon, you understand the potential importance of this matter....

I had heard several weeks back that the federal government was reviewing this possibility of conducting an Interstate Highway 3 from Savannah, GA to Knoxville, TN.

At that point, the path was undefined...however it appears that there has been some charity given to the matter.

The route is to cut through the Tail of the Dragon, which most, if not all of us, regret to see.  I have seen several pentitions to the matter and will attempt to post for signing.

If you have never been there, you can not imagine the impact.

U Bet...

As a matter of fact, our friends at Deal's Gap have a petition to stop any effort in this regard.  I have since learned that the Tail of the Dragon will not destroyed by the construction of this road.  However it will have an impact in other ways.

I do not know why I worry...I will be dead and buried by the time that road is complete, if it ever is...
