Adding pics to homepage

Can anyone help me ? I've been playing around on this site for a while now and decided it's time to start my homepage but I don't know how to import pics to my homepage. It's probably something simple but I just can't figure it out. Help Please

Rig, you don't upload pics directly to the homepage as you can with posts here in the "public" part of the site.  You'll need to have the pics hosted someplace and then link them via their URL.
