WOw..
« on: March 17, 2009, 07:51:16 AM »

Well i got my new 09 utlra CVO home saturday and all i can say is wow!! My last bike was a 06 street glide that served me well and even with the 95" and other mods it still didnt give me the same feeling deep down in my shorts that this bike does!
Yes i can hear it now, where are the pics, i dont have any yet, but she is ruby red.

I would never have thought i would be parking this in my garage. Having had owned nothing but metric bikes until the SG arrived 3 years ago i would have thought it would be crazy to pay so much for any bike never mind a Harley. While i still have a yamaha and honda i can see most of my time will be spent on this new bike. The wife and i have already started planning on summer trips on it and cant wait to hit the open road.
I also want to thank some of the people up here in answering my questions.

Now if only winter in New England will go away.

...or 07... or 08...

The changes to the 09 touring chassis alone are reason enough to buy an 09... my 09 SERG corners like it's on rails... SWEEEEEEEETTT!!!

While this bike does not handle like my YZF1000, it will no doubt hang with my fathers goldwing maybe even exceed it in the turns.

Even better, the wife is more comfortable on this bike and that make her happier on long rides...

Glad to hear you are enjoying it, not that I had any doubts.  I'm counting down the days here, as my "to do" list gets shorter and the weather gets warmer.  I'm hoping to take off for a long adventure ride in the next few weeks.

were in the same weather pattern, my work HDQ is in Newtown Sq Pa and i see their weather is about a day ahead of me maybe a tad warmer.

We have already planned for a week to ride montreal/quebec in july and maybe Nova Scotia in August. Last we did Niagara Falls, i have to give the wife credit 500+ miles in one day on a street glide was a good hauland she never complained...she deserves the new ultra

rode mine home last weekend, a tad chilly but the heated grips and seat helped with that! Nice area of Ma, i spent a lot of time over in Pittsfield riding through the forest.

I had about 10 into my street glide then we decided that we needed something better for long distance riding. 540 miles in one day on the back of the SG put that idea in my wifes head.
