DarkEagle, your Springer is beautiful.

Many of us here had your attitude to start.  I did.  But, you've already expressed your desire for longer rides.  The more you ride, the more you like to ride, the more you want to go distance.  When that happens you want a touring bike.  Just the way it is!   :nixweiss:   :nixweiss:  I did not trade my Titan Gecko when I bought by first RG.  Soon after though, I knew that if I could only keep one... It would be the bagger.  Up in No. Cal. this would be even more true.

       Just my meaningless $.02....   ;)

That about sums up my riding desires also... riding a couple miles back & forth to work doesn't do anything for me... just leaves me wanting more.

DarkEagle....I think I say this for most of us.....If you are happy....we are tickled for you!!!!!
Enjoy every second.  Maybe we will pass each other one day or be at the same stop and get to say howdy, since I am only three miles over the border in Idaho.

You are right about our roads.  I stay mostly up in the n. central to northern part as we live in Lewiston.   If you haven't experienced Hiway 12 from here up the Clearwater and Lochsa Rivers, you haven't lived (my opinion!!) over to Missoula.   Our favorite ride still of all the places and provinces we've ridden in.  However I am really fond of a ride we did last year over in the Methow River and Oroville/Chesaw area in Washington.
Rainy here again today.  My pipes and muffs should be here in a week, so that will give me something to do.
I bought this bike from a dealer in your state.  He treated me very well which is what I was looking for.  My pet peeve with H-D is the arrogant dealers I've encountered too often.  Other than that.....what a love affair for sometime now!
Ride more, ride safely.

I appologize for somewhat hijacking this thread.  Black Eagle, if you want to compare notes, give me a shout at my e-mail macriver@cableone.net.  Just put "BlackEagle" in the reply line.
I didn't see a way to PM you direct, hence last post here.
Again, my appologies to the originator.

as an insider i can say they will eliminate the overrated springer for at least 2 years (front end issues.....lets face it, the springs look great, but the ride sucks)...and the Fat Bob hit a home run as a CVO......my dealer wishes they could have 10 more, but not in gray/blue ;D

Your post makes me wonder if you have ever had the pleasure to ride a Springer?

Ride safely,

Every year, since the '07 CVO Springer came out, someone with claimed inside knowledge stated that it would be the last year of production. It's becoming a tiring unsubstantiated speculation.
