Looks like you need smaller spacers. I think it looks a little uneven on the spacing, to far down on rear end. Tell tell me to shut up and I will understand.

My Fatcat heat shields are not even either. I worked on them when I aligned the bike account exhaust had to come off to apply alignment tools.

With The muffler on and clamps snugged up just enough to take most of the play out those are the spacers that are required to hang the muffler.

Anything smaller and it would be pulling up on the muffler - stretching the rubber mount.

If I had to guess I would say the rear head pipe is a bit long, so instead of correcting the problem - just add spacers.

As far as the shields go - there is no wiggle room - they almost don't need hose clamps to stay. After the Jet Hot coating the just about snap into place.

So you can't get the alignment tools on with these pipes? Guess it good I did when the V&H's were still on.

Neither set here came with those spacers Duane.  I've had three other sets in hand also.  Though nothing purchased within the last six to eight months.  No spacers in anything I've dealth with before.  Wonder when they started using them?

Did you put the exhaust tab on top of the tranny mount tab or under?

I have mine on top of the tab, and I didn't use any spacers under the saddlebag.........and my muffler is in line with the saddlebag.

As for the heatshields, with a little "persuasion" they will fit. Mine had that same bottom one sticking out a little, I adjusted it the best I could with the clamps loose. Then I finished it by taking a towel and placing it over the heatshield then taking my deadblow hammer and giving it a few good wacks. No damage and they all line up perfect.

The heat shields only fit one way - no wiggle room. Shouldn't have to adjust the heat shields with a hammer on pipes that cost this much.

You shouldn't have to, but in the end if you want them to look right you just might have to.

Try taking the spacers out from under the saddlebag mount, see if that lines up the muffler with your saddlebag.

The spacers are there because that is where the muffler lands.

Installed mine on Crash today

no spacers on muffler

everything lines up great

bolts for muffler too long

no nut for bracket to collector pipe

I think if you cut or drilled a notch on the bracket that mounts to the trans and use no washers to space it out to miss the extra nut on the Baker side plate...things will line up better

Don't know what it is. The engine height in the rear is set y the swing arm pivot. My first guess would be that the rear header distance from the collector to the exhaust port is too great.

me too, but I did get two 1/2" 13 Allen screws that the the mount  plate were not drilled large enough for  :2vrolijk_21:

Next time I have the opportunity to remove the pipes and have time for the paint to dry I will relief cut the plate. Won't make a difference in alignment though, the plate has a slot.

For the FLHTCUSE4, is it the 502-32B or the 549-32B?  Web site makes it look like 549-32B but dealer installed 502-32B on mine - only visual difference is muffler length

 :-\

I agree whole heartedly.  The D&D's added lots of low end torque with no loss of high end power.  But they were loud.  Real Loud.

I now have Rinehart's and love the low rumbling sound.  But the power is off.
