My utube Harley commercial- 1 minute of fame!
« on: April 20, 2009, 01:35:06 AM »

Hey!  I took the Rider's Edge class in Lathrop, at Eagle's Nest Harley Davidson.  I am on their TV commercial, on my CVO Springer!  I guess the demographics must REALLY be shifting when they take a 54 year old woman to advertise their training.  Maybe they have realized how many clothes and shoes we buy!

Very cool! Sure you didn't influence your way into the commercial with that pose shot on your scoot?

Did you charge them an actor's fee?  Should have just about paid for your course. ;D

I see that Eagle's Nest is now advertising as California's Largest Harley Dealership......do you know what that claim is based on?  Sq. footage?  Number of bikes sold?  Total $ sales?  Just curious, not sure how they'd beat somebody like Bob Droan's or the one in LA that we stopped at last week. :nixweiss:

Congrats!  Looks like it was fun.  How did that class compare to the RLAP class?

JC was that in this video or on another ad?  I only saw Eagle's Nest claiming to be the Nor Cal's only HD dealership offering the Rider's Edge course....

I didn't think that fast!  :(  Actually, it was my second time in the Eagle's Nest class and I also took the MSF class and 2 sheriff's dept. classes.  AND I STILL DROPPED THE BIKE (more than once)!  They were nervous that I would drop it in the commercial.  I also dropped the bike in Ride Like a Pro (more than once).   :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: I guess posing on the bike is a more reliable way to demonstrate my interest in the sport.  :huepfenjump3:

I can't keep track of their claims. Square footage would be a real reach..... :lipsrsealed2: :lipsrsealed2: :lipsrsealed2: I am at the point that I judge them by their service department and their parts department.  I guess I will just stop right there.......  ??? ???   It takes more than a sales department and a large showroom.  I've been to a little tiny Harley dealership in Fremont and found the service/parts department to be very conscientious.  I would definitely go back to Fremont even though it is less convenient.

Hey V Girl!  You had some wonderful pictures on the other thread.  Your smile is infectious.  The Rider's Edge class was excellent.  I needed those basics pounded into my brain.  The Sheriffs class was similar to RLAP, with the more difficult, slow maneuvers.  I am getting better each time.  RLAP really pushed me.  I only have about 8,000 miles under my belt.  I started riding in the beginning of 2005, but never as consistently as I am riding now.  The change to the Springer from the 98 Sportster boosted my confidence and my ability.  It is an easier bike for me and now I ride more.
