lets just face the facts guys. just to many roads here to say which one is the best.i know so many it is hard to choose each and every ride, it is nice to live in Gods country. I have managed to find a couple nice B&B which cater to bikers. Bikes inside at night (Garaged) sweeeet. Breakfast and away we go, Ain.t we lucky!! We need to plan a ride togather soon. in the meantime get out there and find IT.

What part of K Town do you live in, I live on East side off the Rutledge Pike exit.

Just what I figured. Not many quite like the Cherohola and the Dragon.
Sure are many like that, and better.

Try the one up around Bushy Mountain prison, corners are tighter than the dragon.

Hwy 68 is good over to Blueridge GA, or head west on it over to Crossville.

Hwy 70 is another good road, take it west from Lenor City to Crossville or farther like Nashville.

Hwy 30 out of Decator west to Fall River Falls State park is another good ride.

64 from Clevland east along the Ocoee is a good ride,

Believe me, I just listed a few.

The ride that goes by Brushy Mtn. prison is part of the Devils Triangle, and you are right that is a good ride, They have a rally coming up soon called The Devil's Triangle have heard it gets pretty rowdy, Another good ride we just found week before last is Hwy 298 to Crossville, Tn runs thru the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area and along the Obed Wild & Scenic River and out of Crossville take Hwy 127 then pick up Hwy 68 to Spring City, Not a lot of twisties but some pretty country.

Like MikeH said, we are heading down to Maggie Valley, Deals Gap, etc. to ride from 5/16 to 5/19.  After the ride I took this weekend, I can't imagine the twisties being anything more than what I just rode.  We routed ourselves throughout SW PA, WV, and and SE OH and we were on nonstop twists and turns for about 200 miles.  The biggest problem was the cars doing 20 mph on these roads and a group of about 25 bikes having to make our way around them with very few straigth stretches to be found.  Weaving around all of those bends in 90 degree weather on a SEUC made for quite the tiring day of riding.  Im looking forward to total exhaustion in the hills of NC and TN...bring it on!

Moonshine is great in the area.  To bad they busted Popcorn.  He made the best shine in the area for over 40 years, I know I had plenty of it, an interesting man to talk with.

He swore he would never serve this last 18 month pen sentance.  He took is life just prior to his scheduled report date for prison

I just saw his daughter is writting a book on his life.

Great ride! I do that ride at least twice a month.
HWY 360 Vonore to Tellico Plaines
Cherohalla Skyway  Tellico Plaines to Robbinsville ,Nc
Hwy 129 Robbinsville ,Nc to Tallassee Store Tallassee TN.
Then hit the Foothills parkway at Chillhowee Lake to Hwy 321 back to Maryville
Its a great ride. The CHEROHALLA is at 6,000 feet and it always a good ride in the afternoon.

I would like to thank everyone for their input on the roads to ride in the East Tennesse area. I look forward to discovering them this year.

In Vonore you are close to many of the good rides.

There is a group that meets in Athens TN every Sunday at 1300 to ride, usually some were for a late lunch.  The meet at the Marathon on the corner of hwy 11 and hwy 305.

Also check out Smoky mountain HD, they do some good area rides with their hog chapter.
