Well the midyear dealer show has come and gone and in 6 months the 08 models will be out. Time to start in with the guessing game for what we'll see in 08. As I said when the 07's came out and the MoCo made major upgrades to the twin-cam platform, we are some years away from the V-Rod platform expanding out of the cruiser class. My expectations for 08 CVO is that we'll see another year of the SERK, and the introduction of the SERG2. I'm hoping that they don't put that gawd awful Ninja Turtle hump of a tour-pak on the SERG2 if they produce one. I know all of you with SEUC's love em, but I also believe you'd love em more if they had a hard shell King Tour-pak instead of the leather lump back there. JMHO so don't everybody get all mad at me or anything. eyThe SERG paint scheme should be interesting. Again, no offense to the SEUC owners, but the MoCo did not put anywhere near the time and thought into your paint jobs that went into the other CVO models. At this point, I'm not thinking of selling LD and buying an 08 SERG, but if the paint was killer like the 07 SERKs, I'd have a hard time resisting. And if they wheels were really nice to boot, that'd be it or me. By the way, Beags, if you're reading this, I promise to have the 10" Chubby's installed before I take delivery. I'll keep the Corbin this time so, it'll just be pipes, a SERT and a Doherty going on. Nothing to get brother Beagle's blood pressure up over. Anyway, hope springs eternal on the paint and of course the tour-pak as well. Past practice however dictates that an 08 SERG is a good bet. The SE Dyna's got another year to run, but the SE Fat Boy is done. What next for a cruiser ? Seems like it should be a softail model. The Night Train would be cool with a 110 motor and some CVO stuff, but the CVO's have always been about chrome and flash. The blacked out look would be a tough one. One thing I will say is this whole satin finish thing has run it's course. Check out the bikes that sit on the dealer showroom floor the longest and you'll notice it's the satin finish bikes. Word is out they're a bitch times two to keep clean and the whole dull idea is just - - - - - - - - - - well dull I guess. You know it's like rich food, more is not always better. But a CVO Night Train hmmmmmmmm what would you do beyond the motor and hydraulic SE clutch

240 rear tire YES reverse fork front end ? YES Nice big black tach on a set of fat drag bars ? YES Black anodized braided lines, hoses and cables ? YES Solid rear rim with red stripe around the rim and black center ? YES, 80 spoke front wheel with red stripe rim and black spokes ? YES Yeah, they could make a cool CVO Night Train, but they won't. My guess is they'll come out with a CVO Heritage for the 2nd cruiser in the lineup.
