Wow! [smiley=shocked2.gif]  That's great, Jeff!  I'm really glad that it worked out for you!  Thanks for thinking of us and giving us an update on how the day went!  So much for sleeping tonight, huh?!? ;D

Or any of the next three weeks.  These really are special bikes.  I wanted to just keep on going straight to the Bay Area with it.

So I BOUGHT IT TODAY!

Great news Jeff.  From what you'd written before this seemed a bike you were hoping would be really good.  Glad that it was and that it found a happy new owner.  Congratulations on finding something.  Even more on finding something that was what you really wanted.  That wait until Thanksgiving is going to suck like rocks in space.....

Thanks Don.  Already saw the poll.  My wife voted us for the "explode" choice.  'Bout how I'm feeling at this point.  It's been a long, long time since I've been this excited over a bike.  I kept thinking the seller was going to change his mind about selling it right up until I finally rode it away.  He was really having mixed emotions about letting it go.

Hey, we can all empathize with the guy.  But he was doing what he felt he needed to.  Unfortunate for him; but it means you got the ride you wanted.  So it's all good  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Guess there should have been one more option to be polled.  Something like "he'll sneak out and get it before then."

Funny you should mention that.  My wife (Denise) is already telling me I should take Friday off, fly back out there, and ride it home.

Work just won't have it, though.

Congratulations Jeff! Red is right on I think. When you get it back, us 'locals' here abouts should get together and help you put some bugs on the plastic.

Jeff,

Congrats on finding and buying your dream scooter.

Has the bike had any modifications/changes done to it: exhaust, high flow, etc?

Way to go!!! Congratulations!!! I know the feeling...I watched them un-crate mine and had to wait 2 days to get it and I didn't sleep thinking about it. There's a lot of Flu going around...call in sick and go get it.. :)

Thanks for all the great responses and congratulations.  Hopefully we can put something together in December on a nice day.

I flew into Phoenix at noon yesterday, rented a car, drove to Scottsdale, inspected the bike, negotiated a deal, went to two banks (one to get the cashier's check and one to get the seller's title notarized), took the bike to my friends' house 10 miles away, covered it, spent some time with them (like only about 15 minutes, unfortunately), drove the 10 miles back to the seller's house to pick up my rental car, drove back to Phoenix and caught a 5:30 flight home.  Pretty full 5 1/2 hours.  No time for pictures, unfortunately.

The bike is bone stock, except for Samson rolling thunder reverse slant mufflers.  I very much like the way they sound and look, and am thinking that a SE A/C plus PC III or SE Race Tuner, will be where I go with this.  Original mufflers are with the bike too.  The seller had made no changes to the ECM.
