Was that bike at Freedom Cycles?
I was at Freedom having my 06 CUSE setup to go Vrooom, when they were loading up a really nice SEEG
The driver was very professional and careful with the bike and I was impressed
If that was the bike I saw I bet it came back Faster as in Pumped Up

Yep ... that's the one!!  
It came back exactly like we sent it (except for the "souped up" motor!).  Keyboard Carriage picked it up at the local HD shop and the guys there said they had never seen anyone take such good care in making sure that it was tied down securely ... they were impressed too and so were we.  KC did an EXCELLENT job.  We will be using them to ship the bike to Sturgis in August '06. 8-)

Here is a link to the e-bay auction I found my Cherry at. I bought it outside of E-bay but did have it checked by a friend in Chicago 1st.
I still haven't figured out the whitewall thing, but the owner must have swapped them at time of delivery. In my opinion they gotta go!!

Jeff the bike will be picked up by trucker hopefully next week and I will have it by the end of.

New member here (ding!).  Have owned a Harley and a Buell, am riding other bikes now, but am getting serious about re-entering the H-D asylum at the CVO summit (especially if I sell one of my bikes this weekend.  The guy is driving with his wife from Austin to Phoenix and intending to ride it home--he sounds interested.)

My question in the 04/05 versus 06 arena:  I have read some complaints about the harsh ride of the earlier SEEGs; whether it is due entirely to being lowered I don't know.  I'm fairly large--6'4", dusting the scales at a deuce and a quarter (pre-Thanksgiving...)  While I'm leaning to the cherries (like Jeff, I don't need the Ultra features), I am wondering if some of you guys of more generous portions can comment on ride harshness/suspension adjustability issue and whether you have found a good solution to the problem (if there is a problem at all).

Jeff and Spyder -- thanks for the list of items to get from the current owner.  You guys answered the question I was just about to ask.

Finally, a 'small world' comment.  I was following this thread with much interest, and was pulling for Jeff to get the bike of his dreams.  As he got closer to it and started saying more about it (like its location), I suddenly turned white (well, whiter...)--that doggone guy swooped in and grabbed the cherry in Scottsdale that I had been watching for weeks.  As they say, timing is everything.  I have given Jeff a little off-line ribbing about stealing my bike and my state sales tax exemption.  But hey--there are others out there.

Big weekend coming up--Jeff gets my...I mean his...bike, and I may create some room in the garage for a cherry.

LOVE this site--so much information so freely given by such odd characters--GREAT STUFF!!

First off let me let you know that I too am of big "stature". I would love to be "deuce and a quarter" again. Even after "Atkins" and "South Beach" all I can get back to is about "deuce and half +".   I started off well over 300 so I'm not complaining. Also I'm about 6'3" and had previously owned a Fatboy (found out the only thing on softail that was soft should've been my bottom). As far as going from that to a SEEG I have enjoyed the ride considerably more, however when riding two up I do get some complaints from rider (BTW I own a 2004 SEEG). I keep telling better half she needs to ride more and break the seat in (I know that's mean of me, but it's working  ) I have found out ways from this forum to make the ride more comfortable (adding more air to shocks [more then maximum that H-D recommends in owners manual, which there is a bulletin out saying you can add more then what that suggests], to switching out to Progressive Shocks which will make the ride even more comfortable, and switching to a more comfortable seat).

So if you do decide to get a SEEG I think you will be able to make it comfortable for you. Good luck in finding your ride, and make sure you post pics when you get it. Because if you don't you will get this....

Thanks for the reply, big fella.  Nice pumpkin, by the way. Have been reading a lot of gripes about the Rineharts; have yours been working for you?

I will do mostly solo riding, so it sounds as if I shouldn't have much of a problem getting whatever adjustment I will need.  Being lowered means more of a probability of scraping parts--should that become a nuisance, I can always remind myself that I have an Aprilia in the garage for that sort of thing.

I have been lucky so far with my Rineharts. Every time I read in a thread about somebody having problems with there’s I immediately go and check mines. Knock on wood, so far I've had no problem with them.

Alright, the bike is home.  Long drive back from Scottsdale pulling the trailer, but it arrived safely.  Spent yesterday afternoon riding (and cleaning) instead of posting.  So far, it's absolutely spectacular--easily the nicest Harley I've ever owned (four, including my wife's bikes, which I ride/rode frequently).  

First up is to add saddlebag guard bars, and then the V&H Dresser Duals and a Big Sucker (and Race Tuner) to go along with the Samson mufflers the bike came with.

Dave (Siegfried), sorry to pull this one out from under you in Arizona, but there are more out there.  In fact, I noticed that your purchaser was coming out from Austin intending to ride your old/his new bike back.  I think there is a cherry for sale in Austin (low miles, looks perfect) on cycletrader.com--at least it was there last time I looked--and I got to thinking that he could just deliver it for you as part of the swap.  I'm sure it's water under the bridge by now.  Anyway, did you sell your bike and is there a cherry in your future?

My Cherry got picked up in Chicago today! It will be visiting the top half of the country this week returning to Kentucky then put on another truck to get to me in NC next week some time.
