Here you go!  Note the 1" x 1" crosshairs to confirm correct size before you drill.  The slit in the template lines up with a strength bar on the underside of the inner fairing.  That sets your template position.  Let me know if you need anything else -- hope this helps!

Got it - thanks.

Cleaned it a bit, re-sized it and pasted it into MS Word.

This file on my HP Laser prints out at exactly the 1" x 1" size.

Easy enough to just re-size the picture in word to match your printer.

I pasted three copies  then changed the picture  sizes 2-3 times till I got it. Final attempt had the 3 pictures sized at 9.3, 9.2, 9.1 inches.

Steve

they don't sell through a dealer network... so there are no deals to be had. Only deal you're going to find is a used one on ebay.

It would be nice if Valentine would make a unit specific to mount in our fairing (Hoist couldn't use it) with remote lights on the dash or something trick like that.  I just hate to see the units stuck up on the dash and I know the cops do also.  :-[ spyder

Spyder on there website they are showing a concealed display unit so I'm thinking you could remote mount the detector in the fairing and fabricate some kind of mount to hold the concealed display unit. The only concern then would be waterproofing. :nixweiss:

The best radar detector is by far the Valentine.  Also, the most expensive.
:pepper:

Totally agree, I have owned two

Definitely I currently have 3 all wired into the ignition circuits! The only thing worse than not having one is getting a ticket because you forgot to turn it on???

I do love the passion we have in our favorite brands The Escort when introduced was the reigning Champion of its day. When it was developed by the chief engineer at Cincinnati Microwave. While at the time I was an adamant supporter of the Escort.

When Mr Valentine  its designer left Cincinnati Microwave to found Valentine1 the Escort lost its market dominance and industry leading innovations.

Since that time no competitor has improved on the Valentine1 when they do I'll have a bunch for sale.

Until then I'll keep sending them in as updates become available. Most recently Pulse Radar very popular in Ohio and Indiana these days.

That waterproof case is Fugly they do need to develop one for the motorcycle market

I love my Valentine One. I mounted it using a short arm Techmount and quick release detachable Techmount cradle. I used to think about the waterproof issue but since it's quick release, it's not a problem. It's a little hassle to pull over and put it away when it's about to rain but there's worse things to deal with, like putting on your rain gear. No need for me to worry about riding over the speed limit in the rain. If anything, I worry about being hit from behind for going too slow. But the Valentine One has saved me many times since I got it. When I've gotten caught by instant radar, a friendly waive to the highway patrol has always worked. Half the time they waive back at me.
