Reposition / reuse of amp
« on: May 20, 2009, 03:11:55 AM »

If "she who must be obeyed" finds out how much you fellows are costing me i will get shot.

Anyway back to the topic and next question
With the removal of the tour pack has anyone been able to refit the amp between the gaurd and bags,
will it fit? if so how was it done? any pics, any other solutions (don't wish to loose any storage space)

I know about the hawg wired system but at $US 1600? plus (plus lets screw the Aussie factor)  it at the moment is out of the question
and would like to use what i have.

This is not my bike but I found it on Ebay.  Looks like they made a specail bracket and mounted the amp between the saddlebag and fender strut.  Looks interesting.  There are a couple more pictures, Ebay item number is 180357683701.

Ask Hogbreath to post a picture of his. He was one of the very first to remove the TP and had the dealer cut a chunk of the saddle bag out. It will work but it's not pretty.
