Turns out to be two blown speakers. Imagine that. I had planned on checking the left speaker to see if it was blown, but when the right one went, I just assumed it was the radio itself, being that I had hogtune speakers. Spoke with John at Radio Sound thinking I'd have to do a swap and he suspected it was blown speakers. He says the 4 ohm radio output will blow the 6 ohm Hogtune speakers. I already had the fairing off and was planning on checking the speakers that night. I did and to my surprise, both were blown. Now this is a bike that gets more TLC than a newborn baby. Popped that original speakers back in and everythings fine.
I did speak with Cameron at Hogtunes and they're sending me out a set of replacement spearkers. I was concerned because I have 4 Hogtune speakers in my Ultra and wanted to know if they had many of those fail because of the ohm difference. He says they haven't and they have had the same design up until this year. I haven't had any issues at all with the speakers on my Ultra, and it has the same radio. He also reiterated their 20 year guarantee and they found me in their computer so I'm satisfied.
At any rate, John at Radio Sound was very helpful and Hogtunes is living up to their reputation for great customer service.
