I'll give it a try tonite. Thanks for all your help and patience guys. If I can't get it changed this time, I'm going to feel like a real idiot  :-\

When you get it stored, be careful not to change the "Home" setting to the new location where you are trying to get home from.  That's why I had to learn again how to set home as home again.

I know how to set the 'home' feature on my Zumo, but can't remember how to set 'waypoints'.  :nixweiss:   spyder

Leave 'bread-crumbs' to be able to re-trace a route back.  Can you just enter a location when you are physically there and re-call it to return to that location?  Like you do 'home'.  spyder

You can save a particular location as a favorite. Next time you are somewhere that you want to save click on the motorcycle icon on the screen it and will ask you want you want to do. You want to save it as a favorite that you can name. Then the next time you want to go to that location you can click on Where To > Favorites and then the favorite you named. This will get you back to that location, but may not take you back on the route you originally used to get to it.

The GPS will also create tracks (bread crumbs) of rides you do when the unit is on. When you get back home you can hook the Zumo to your computer and download the tracks and save them as a route for future use. So all depending on what you want you can get the place or the route.

If downloading the route is what you want next time you want to do this you can give me a call and I'll walk you thru the procedure. It's not that complicated but it's better for me to explain as I do the procedure w/you. If you don't already you may want to download this - Mapsource Tutorial. Once you get that you can use the find feature and search for "tracks" and they will have step by step directions on how to get them from the Zumo to Mapsource then saving them.

Sorry for the :jack:

We weren't talking about the Zumo here though.  This was on the built-in GPS on the Harman Kardon that the above applied to.

This all sounds good but we don't get the GPS delivered or as an option in little old Oz ! and that was one reason for the SEEG... damm

You're not missing much!  Although we do get it in the UK, you get quickly tired of its sever limitations. I bought a Zumo 550....

I haven't fixed it yet... I tried again on saturday without any luck. Since then, work, the grandkids coming to visit and constant rain have kept me off the bike. Maybe this weekend we'll dry out long enough to ride a few miles.

Mike, when I get back from the beach we'll have to get together for a ride and I can set it up.

Sounds like a plan. Maybe all the rain will be gone by the time you get back !

Mike, I can relate.  I've had the same problem on my 09 SEUC, but finally got it to set today.  Here's how I got it store a new HOME location.  I programmed a route (to my local HD Dealership) and once the Nav came back with the route calculated, I then pressed HOME, STORE and it asked if I wanted to save my current location as HOME.  Since I was already sitting in my driveway (not a street recognized by the maps), it stored my physical GPS location as the new HOME.  Try it and let us know if it works for you.
