I can tell from the group concensus thus far that you guys aren't going to like this comment, but I've never been convinced that MJ ever did anything sexual with any of the kids.  I still believe that he was an eccentric with the social development of a small child and I just think that he loved children and they were his playmates, with no sexual thoughts involved.  Was there ever a better person in this world to pin these accusations on?  Never.  He was the perfect victim.  Is it wierd that his home was an amusement park, his best friend a chimpanzee, his playmates little children...of course.  I just think he was a strange bird and I just never believed he ever had any sexual intent with these children.  You guys can beat me up all day on this, but I will always believe he was just a victim of the odd circumstances he placed himself in.  I think he is guilty of bad judgement and a total freak, but that's where it ends.

I'm with you - a real weirdo, but that's not a crime.  He was famous from age 10, so had nothing in the way of a normal childhood. He grew up in a world that was not like ours, so no surprise he turned out so strange.  I too am not convinced that he had any sexual involvement with kids.  Too easy for the parents to think they could make a fast buck....

The guy was totally off the wall.  Set new highs on the weirdness scale.  And for awhile made more money than he could waste.  And that was a tremendous amount.  So he was weird, rich and put himself in stupid situations that were incredibly easy to be seen badly.  In a litigous society that means you pay settlement money.

I don't know if the guy molested children or not.  For the kid's sake I certainly hope not and I would take no satisfaction in wishing it so just to further demonize an already messed up guy.  I do know there was never released a smoking gun video or anything else equally damning.  And the guy was so naive around kids he would've been an easy mark to set up.

So the only thing I know for sure is that I don't really know a damn thing for sure on the molestation charges.  Hanging his own kid over a balcony should've gotten him arrested or at least publicly bitch slapped by the kid's mom.  But given who he was those things weren't going to happen for that action.

And so it goes with the nut jobs among us.
