I just got off the phone with the MoCo and the "Strike" has shut down the paint shop so I won't be getting my fourth set of paint anytime soon.  They offered to give me a new set of the "Custom or Radical" paint but I really don't like either the blue or orange "Axle" paint and Dammit I paid for a Screaming Eagle paint scheme.  If I change to the "Limited Edition" paint (50 Sets) I am afraid it will lower the value of the CUSE.  On the bright side the strike will reduce the flow of new bikes so I might be able to sell this one faster.

I am really tired of fighting with this.  I have a good mind to pack up a box of H-D shirts, books, billiard balls, coffee mugs, posters, jackets, hats, gloves, etc., and send them all to the CEO along with the reciept from the sale of my HOG stock and tell him he has lost another GREAT customer.  I don't think they ever compare the cost of getting a new customer vs keeping an existing customer.  Damn shame, I just won't feel right on a BMW K1200LT but I think that will be my next ride.

They sent you 4 sets of paint ??. I dont understand how then , they can justify telling some here  'No', and others get multiple sets replaced. And some of us get partial replacements?. This is crazy. Im in on the CEO letter with ya Geaser, although, Im not sending them back anything, have it all earmarked for the spring garage sale. Gotta re-coup some of my losses. With what I didnt spend this year just at Christmas on MoCo stuff, should of made their stock drop .000000001/2 % , so there , take that MoCo.

Unfortunately we probably can not call "bullchit" on that one Mike.  At least not from the little that is known for sure.  06 and prior were painted by Calibre.  But they were dumped for the new painter in 07.  We don't know if Calibre was retained for all these repaints or if the factory took over that work though.

Ha ! good one, that sounds do-able, will I get to also demonstate for the TV viewers what I wanted to do to the MoCo Rep  by putting my hands around the neck of the Commentator, or will we have to use a stunt double??

Oh yeah, that would be the end of the interview.  Something like this perhaps:

"Well Mike, that was quite a story.  Our viewers certainly are sorry to hear this amazing story here on Channel 5 news.  One last thing before we go Mike.  We're wheeling out here an effigy of Harley Davidson.  It's a big Willie G blow up doll.  Can you show our viewers just what you'd like to say or do to Mr. Davidson?"

To add to that the strike in York has caused lay offs in WI. at the powerplant factory, and also one of the other subcontractors that supplies brakes for the York facility. See this post concerning HB Performance Parts. This could be just another trickle down effect from strike affecting other suppliers.

I seriously entertained a BMW a few years back.  There were so many incentives they were almost giving the darn things away.  I just couldn't do it. :uneasy:  And the japs are out of the question....

Guess I just have to learn how to enjoy being mistreated!! :worried2:

Ah chit, I am most likely going to sit through this with a friggin tankless bike too.  They sent the POS back for repaint.

I most likely won't ride much until April, but it would be nice to get it by then.  Maybe I can get a black loaner tank until then.

More chit than I need on a long weekend.  Maybe its time to sell the '02 for the springer classic I have been eyeing.
