Don't they shut down for a Christmas break? Maybe there's been no paint problems because they haven't built any bikes.  LOL    ;D

100% of my painted parts were taken off yesterday and sent back to the MoCo.
No time frame given, I did not really ask....why make someone lie?

For things like this that will be an extended downtime; has anyone at least asked about an extension of the warranty period to compensate for the wait?

Had a MOCO rep out to the house last weekend to look at the bike and he wants to take it to the dealer and them wash it up (been a little cold to get that done) and make a decission.  He said either way they will be taking care of me. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  I will keep you all posted.

Thinking if the MoCo is now going to take care of the paint issue, why  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] can't the MoCo supply new painted parts so new CUSE owners don't have to wait on getting there paint parts back to start riding. I am sure if the MoCo had maybe 20 paint sets ready to ship they could send those sets out and paint sets with issues could be sent in once the dealer install the replacement sets. Then once the paint parts with issues come in the MoCo can correct those and send those paint sets to others waiting. This way CUSE owners can still be riding there scooters in which the have already paid for in full.

Why  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] MoCo are you making new owners wait for corrected paint sets?
I know when I took delivery on my 06 Autumn Haze CUSE it came in with a scratched left tour lid.
Hate to say this but it took almost 5 months to get a replacement.

If there is an approval to allow one to get new painted parts, why can't everyone still ride their not so pretty bike until new painted tins come in?  If you had to send your tins in to get the approval, have them send them back until replacement tins are ready.  I am riding my bike with bad paint and it does not bother me one bit.  Just curious.  Your right though - 12 - 16 weeks is what I have been told on all the peices I have had to wait for.  I had a front fairing replaced though faster.

so yesterday I got the call from the dealer about my paint, was told the rep would be there so on my way back from New York ( hate Driving there) I stop at the shop, I was told by the service MGR ( great guy ) that when he called HD after he sent the pics, READY FOR THIS!!!!! he was told it is just the way it should be,, yes the lids are a differnt color then the bags, yes the inner fairing is differnt color then the front faring, they said that about all the milky painted parts. said they painted it that way, so it looks differnt in differnt lights......

So I met the rep also a very nice guy, and he can only do what the moto comapny tells hims he can do.

Now like I said before both guys were great to deal with, but I say, when you buy a car say a sliver one, your doors all match, each one has the same color and match in color, No one paints cars or bikes with differnt color parts like this. who in their right mind would paint a lid cover and the saddle bag which this lid goes on two differnt colors!!!!! and milky at that.

Hell for that matter tell me what other CVO this has been done too. first year and its 06.(  GREAT) ..   I was getting pissed but its not these guys I am pissed at they did their job, its the motor company, what kind of goofballs do they think we are and who in hell would belive this line of crap... I said if you look at the pic in the book under color it saids , Blk chrimson charcoal slate, you can see the lowers are charcoal slate, blk chrimson is like a plum color which the inner fairing is as well as the saddle bag lids, I dont know what the other color is, but I do know, that in the pics and the book it does not say Blk chrimson charcoal slate and same miky color..  I have a number to call with a ref number so calling in the am.   [smiley=nixweiss.gif]    you would think with the money we spend on this company they would own up to a F##k up and fix the problem without all this bs. I gave the rep this web site to look at that is why I bumped the paint post last night.. I think it sucks that HD has 2 great guys working for them and they put them in the middle of  all this with no tools to fix the problem.  " people dont understand the paint set", chit give me a paint set that looks right and I will understand it.  just wanted to update everyone, but like I said you cant blame the rep or the Service MGR they were just doing their jobs!!!!!!!

That sucks, really sorry to hear that they are taking this position. It seems odd that the MOCO has told others to get it buffed out?

Stay on top of them, I hoping that it all work out for you  and all of the others that are dealing with this.

the sad part in all this, is having to go through the dealers , it really puts them in the middle, I have a great group of guys I deal with there, and I know they are doing their jobs. but you still get pissed.

Well that does it, I'm takin mine back, they didn't f~@k it up like the rest of the colors, now I'm pissed...It probably won't be worth as much without that trick, colors that don't match, paint job.

I'm close to the factory if you need someplace to stay, so you can ride it up there and ask them directly......Park it right in front of the door and start asking everyone what they think of the new Harley non-matching paint job.  Idiots......I'd be way beyond pissed if I were you....amazing self control, I'd of had the rep by the collar, he's worthless if he won't stand up for the customer, anybody can lean back on the old "I'm just doing what I'm told" tell him to show some balls and resolve the issue.

If all else fails, try contacting your local DMV.  They LOVE going after things like this.  New vehicle and big bucks means you should be 100% satisfied...no matter what!

The local Better Business Bureau (if the dealer is a member) is a good place to go as well.

Good luck!!   [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] ;D [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] >:(

lol yes we the Blk crimson group have a very limited edition, willie G made the color himself,,, I know when I sell mine someday I am asking 5,000 more [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] The rep is going to talk to the motor company and like I said I have to call some number they gave me........ You know what I think, I think they did the watermelon color bikes first and never cleaned out the paint guns and thats why the Blk bikes have that chocolate color. kinda brown over blk. but hey if we tell the motor company about the mix up, they may mark up the limited edition blk bikes another 10,000. so dont say anything ;D ;D

fr8trn, we have to meet up and ride sometime...........
